Annual
Thanks to the exceptional ongoing support of Ms. Michèle Dionne, wife
of the Premier of Québec, the Canadian RED CROSS, Québec Division
has held a major fundraising event every year since 2005. Each year, a
co-chair is chosen from among the most influential business leaders
in Québec, and leading citizens from across Québec are invited to
participate. In just a few short years, this event has grown to become
the most important Red Cross fundraiser in Canada.
All the proceeds are used to support the mission of the Canadian Red
Cross, Québec Division: a mission of preparation and response carried
out by devoted volunteers who provide first aid services to families,
children, the elderly and the vulnerable in the event of fires, floods or
evacuations.
2012 _ Land of the Rising Sun
The 2012 annual Red Cross benefit event will be held on Thursday, April 5
at Montréal’s Windsor Station “Salle des pas perdus”. This year’s event
will be chaired by Ms. Martine Turcotte, Vice Chair, Québec at Bell Canada.
Ms. Michèle Dionne will be the honorary president.
For the occasion, guests will have the pleasure of celebrating all the
splendour of Japan, a country where the Red Cross is fulfilling its
mission. This work continues to make a significant difference in the life of
the March 11, 2011 earthquake survivors.
Guests will be dazzled by the beauty and richness of the artistic and
cultural heritage of the Japanese people who have a great love for ancestral traditions and varied customs. By taking part in this event, you will be
greatly contributing to Red Cross efforts to help disaster victims in
Québec. You are making more than a donation. You are providing hope.
Thank you in advance for your generous contribution.
