PLUNGE
The 15th Annual New Year’s Day Polar Bear
Plunge is scheduled for Friday morning, January
1, at 10:30 a.m. at the Surf Club beach. It’s here
that members will dash into the Atlantic Ocean to
celebrate the New Year. Hot chocolate served
afterwards. Commemorative Polar Bear T-shirts

Greetings from the Membership office! For more than eighty-five years, the Ponte Vedra
Inn & Club has been North Florida’s most exclusive amenity-rich club and continues to
provide members with the finest in service and facilities. I wanted to inform you that effective
December 15th, the Inn & Club’s Membership Initiation Fee will be going up from $23,000+tax
to $25,000+tax. Now is a great time for you to recommend a new member to the Club
before the initiation fee escalates. Should you have a friend, neighbor or business associate
that you would like us to reach out to and extend an invitation to join at the current initiation
fee, please feel free to contact me in the membership office at 904-273-7716 or espalding@

Join in on the fun of the season with these activities!
Breakfast with Santa
Members are invited to join Santa and Mrs. Claus for a delightful breakfast buffet on
Saturday, December 12 from 8-11 a.m. Here’s just a sampling of what to expect:
Seasonal Fruit & Berries – Assorted Juices – Yogurts
Cereals, Muffins, Bagels & Danish – Fluffy Scrambled Eggs
Buttermilk Pancakes – Sausage Links – Applewood Bacon – and more!
Throughout the morning, the “First Couple of the North Pole” will be available to pose
for photographs. Children can also enjoy the Crafts Table and the Candy Bar. The
price is $19.50 for adults and $9.50 for children (ages 4-10 yrs). Children 3 and under

Have your little elves (ages 4-10) come to our Santa’s Workshop on
Saturday, December 19 from noon to 2 p.m. in the Florida Room. Each
youngster will be given guidance and all the arts & crafts supplies to
create a lovely holiday gift for the family. The cost is $25 per child.

Gingerbread House
Decorating
A Gingerbread House Decorating party is scheduled for
Sunday, December 6 from 2 - 4 p.m. in the Conference
Center’s Ballroom. The cost is only $35 per house,
which includes all of the trimmings. Space for this fun
event is limited and reservations are required. Please

Join in on the fun of the season with these activities!

Santa will again lead all Members through the streets
of Ponte Vedra in his decorated holiday hay wagon.
There are TWO hayrides scheduled on separate dates:
Saturday, December 12 (a ride every 30-minutes from
12:30 - 3:30 p.m.) and Sunday, December 20 (a ride
every 30-minutes from 1 to 5 p.m.). The cost is $5 per
person (infants under 18 months are free) which includes
beverages and cookies. Meet at the Surf Club Entrance.

There’s no better time to get in the Christmas
Spirit than Wednesday, December 23 by
creating Candy Cane Wreaths and decorating
Christmas Cookies.

On Saturday, December 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., The Inn will be hosting
Polar Express themed event for the young ones sure to bring out the spirit of the

Fun for Elves
Join the First Lady of the North Pole as
she reads a holiday story to the young
ones. It’s a great chance for parents to
browse through the wonderful selection

A variety of imaginative craft stations will be
displayed in the Lagoon Room. In addition to
craft stations, there will be a ‘Letters to Santa’
table, where boys and girls can write to Santa
about how good they have been this year.

decorated trackless mini-train will transport
the young ones on PV Boulevard. 11:30

Tavern New Release Party
This months new release event is being held on Thursday, December 3 from 6-7:30 p.m. and will featuring
Marlin & Barrel Vodka. This small batch Florida sugar cane vodka is hand crafted, distilled and bottled by
hand in Fernandina Beach. Marlin & Barrels small batch approach means a clear, light, and smooth Vodka
for your palate.

An Evening of
Italian Cuisine
On Monday, December 21, from 5:30-9 p.m.,
the Chef will be featuring another of his popular
Italian themed dining experiences in the Golf
Club Restaurant. The cost is $28 per adult
which includes a glass of Chianti. Service
charge and tax additional. $7 for children.
Reservations are requested.
In December, two local companies will
be in the Gourmet Shop to showcase
their unique products. The Topsy Toffee owner will offer
a sampling of his gourmet toffee on Friday, December
11 from 9 a.m. to Noon. Later that weekend on Sunday,
December 13, a local honey maker, Stubbees, will have a
tasting of their unique blend of handmade creamed honey
from 9 a.m. – Noon. Please stop by and enjoy!
Dazzling Desserts
Tuesday, December 1 is National Pie Day and to celebrate the Gourmet Shop
will discount all pie orders 10% from December 1 – 7. Each pie is handmade
by PVIC’s Pastry Chef and include classics such as Pumpkin Cheesecake, and
Apple Pie, as well as more adventurous delights like Bourbon Pecan Pie. Please

Chef Erik Osol has began to roll out a bold new dinner menu at
the Seahorse Grille. His menu focuses on coaxing the most flavor
out of individual ingredients. Examples of his artisic creations are
Port Orange Swordfish with Baby Beans, Gremolata & Mirepoix
Escabeche; Mayport Shrimp with Orange Purée, St. Augustine
Distillery Rum, Red Fresno Jalapeño, Garlic, and Carrot (pictured
left); and Hudson Valley Foie Gras and French Gnocchi with San
Sebastian Vintners infusions and Seasonal Garnish. Dinner is served

Here’s a fun and motivating contest to get in top shape prior to the holiday
dining season. Each day from December 1-12, our gym elves will select
one group fitness class from the daily schedule. All members attending
that particular class will have their name placed in a hat for a grand prize
drawing to take place after December 12. The more fitness classes one
attends during The Twelve Days of “Fit-Mas”, the greater the chance of
winning the prize. Join in on this holiday-themed fitness fun!
Gear Up for the Gate

Participating in the GATE River Run with all of your
friends on TEAM GATE is the most fun you can have
while running or walking! Join the hundreds of GATE
Club runners and walkers on March 12 who enjoy
training together and doing either the signature 15K

Parent / Child Golf Outing
The next Parent/Child Golf Outing is Saturday,
December 26 at 12:30 p.m. on The Lagoon Course.
This event pairs any combination of parent/child or
grandparent/grandchild for an afternoon of golf fun.
$70 per team of two (golf members) and $100 per
team (social members) which includes golf, carts and
