JOIN FRIENDS FOR COFFEE AND “GOODIES” JANUARY 12TH CERAMICS ROOM (WEST BLDG) BRING $1 AND COFFEE CUP WATCH DISPLAY BOARD FOR DETAILS /GATHERINGS 9 Welcome back Mesa Regal Shuffleboard players. Our shuffleboard started up once again the first part of November and is now in full swing. We play every Monday, Wednesday & Friday mornings at 8:30, but ask that you be at the courts by 8:15 to get your sticks and number for which board you will be playing on. If you have never played Shuffleboard, come down to the courts as there is always someone who will show you the ins and outs of the game. It is fun, sometimes strategic and you meet a group of great people. Shuffleboard is a game that doesn’t hurt any part of your body. The object of the game is to outplay your opponent. You shoot pucks down the board and try to count points, but stay out of the kitchen as you lose points. We would like to see new faces this year, so come join our group. It is located at the West End complex below the bocce ball courts. In January, if you want a little more competitive challenge, we start league play which takes you out of the park to play other Shufflers from their parks. Again it is fun and you get to meet people. In addition to meeting new folks we also have a couple of pot luck barbeques and every Friday is free coffee and doughnut mornings. On the Fridays we change up the game to add variety and challenges. So come out. You don’t have to play every Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Pick your days and see how you like it, but come, because we would like to see the Shuffleboard courts filled to their capacity once again.
