THE PERFECT VENUE...
Oakley Hall is an elegant 18th century Georgian manor house set in over 315 acres of
gardens and countryside near Basingstoke and Winchester. It has a distinguished past
with links to Jane Austen who was a good friend of the Bramstons – the original
owners of Oakley Hall. It is thought that her novel, Mansfield Park, is based on
Oakley Hall and the main character, Lady Bertram, based on Mrs Bramston.
A beautiful sweeping drive leads
up to the stunning grand entrance
of Oakley Hall. Whether it’s an
intimate celebration for a few
or a party for 300, Oakley Hall
offers a choice of 9 elegant rooms
and a magnificent permanent
marquee adjoining the main
house through a glass walkway.
All rooms overlook the spectacular
grounds of the Hall and the
Garden Room and marquee open
out onto their own terraces leading
onto the lawns.
Oakley Hall offers fantastic photo
opportunities, both inside and
within the sprawling grounds,
creating the perfect venue for the
most memorable day of your life.

guests to raise their glasses for that all important group photograph to be taken from
the gallery. Guests are welcome to have drinks on the terrace or at one of our oak
panelled bars whilst the Bride and Groom have photographs in the breathtaking

ENJOY THE VIEW
Set in 315 acres of gardens and countryside Oakley Hall
presents the perfect backdrop to your special day.
As you arrive at the grand
entrance take in the relaxing
views of the surrounding
countryside in contrast with
the circular lawn and striking
Georgian façade.
The terrace at the back of the
Hall is laid out to box hedging
and overlooks a sunken garden
and pond with a striking fountain.
An extensive lawn stretches into
a woodland of mature trees beech, yew, wellingtonia, blue
cedar and oak - some of which
are over 200 years old. At one
07 OAKLEY HALL
time there would have been many
more trees in the grounds but
these were cut down in the thirties
during asset stripping when the
owners fell onto hard times.The
result has been the spectacular
rolling views over the grounds
to the fields beyond that we
enjoy today.
Wander through the woodlands
and you fall upon more evidence
of the gardens as they once were
and as time goes on more walks
will be opened up for guests
to enjoy.
