Hello Everyone
The major P&F Fundraiser for
2015, the school Lapathon, is
being held this Friday. When all the tallying of money is ‘in’
the class that raised the most will receive a special treat, so it
is important that all monies returned have the name of the
child, and the class, clearly wri en on the envelope. The
children are encouraged to
wear their school sports
uniform with their Guild
coloured T shirt to add to
the fes ve atmosphere of
the day.
A Sausage in a Sandwich lunch treat has been organised for
all Year 1-6 students on the day of the Lapathon. Many
children may well appreciate the addi on of other morsels of
food in their lunch box though to complement the sausage.
This treat also means that the usual Friday Sushi orders have
been swapped to the Thursday for this week.
Have fun at the Lapathon everyone and put out a prayer that
the rain disappears for Friday.
Our Year 4 students will be receiving the Sacrament of
Eucharist on August the 8th this year. The Parent Mee ng
will be held very soon, on Wednesday evening, the 24th of
June, in the Parish Centre at 6pm. Please take note of the
date as it is an expecta on that all parents a end to support
their children in the prepara on of this very special
sacrament.
PRAYER FOR SPORTS
O God, you gave us bodies as well as minds and hearts with which to praise and worship you.
Our sports and exercises are a fitting use of gifts
and talents you have given us.
Bless our workouts and the games we play,
and those with whom we exercise or compete.
Give us strength, endurance, courage
and agility as we compete or train.
Keep us safe and healthy as we celebrate
our physical and mental skills in sport.
“Never think what you have to offer is insignificant.
There will always be someone out there that needs
what you have to give…”
