Spotlight on Stewardship
Mar. 13, 2016 Stewardship Reflection
“For His sake I have accepted the loss of all things
and I consider them so much rubbish, that I may gain
Christ…” (Philippians 3:8)
The first commandment says that we shall not put
other gods before the Lord. Detaching ourselves from
material possessions and considering them ”rubbish”
does just that. It strengthens our relationship with
Jesus and allows us to live more freely and joyfully.
Ministry Spotlight
Altar Society
If you are available to meet weekly for only one
month of Saturdays, for no more than 60 to 90
minutes, and aren't afraid of a little cleaning, Altar
Society needs you! Team members generally meet on
Friday evening or Saturday morning. A team of three
to four members helps prepare the chapel and
sanctuary for Masses. Responsibilities include light
dusting, filling candles with oil, changing altar cloths,
if necessary, and cleaning the windows in the
Training Room. This ministry is open to all registered
parishioners. Come help make our liturgy a beautiful
experience! We are also looking for a dynamic leader
to head up this essential ministry! Contact Kimberly
Kaup at 706-561-8678 or [email protected].
St. Anne Community Outreach
St. Anne Community Outreach’s Item of the Month in
March is socks. The Center will be open to accept
donations before & after Masses Mar. 19 & 20.

Bishop’s Annual Appeal 2016
As of the last report we received, 6 percent of our
parishioners have made a pledge to the Bishop’s
Annual Appeal. Our support of diocesan agencies and
ministries is one way that we respond to God for all
we have received. You can find Bishop’s Annual
Appeal contribution envelopes in the Commons Area
of the church, or make an online contribution to this
year’s appeal at www.diosav.org/BAA.
