Vaporizers
Algas Direct Fired Vaporizers
Algas direct fired vaporizers offer an even supply of vapor for loads that are too
large for the natural vaporization of propane storage tanks.
All models feature powder coated steel cabinets, stainless steel flues, automatic
anti-overflow valves and thermostatic controls.

Algas Zimmer Electric Vaporizers
Dimensions
The Zimmer electric vaporizer is a compact, simple and reliable solution for smaller
LPG loads where a single storage tank falls short on vaporization capacity.
Designed for reliability, there are no switches, thermostats, floats, relays or other
electric controls. The self regulating internal heaters will operate with any voltage
from 100 - 240 volts, single phase. It is light-weight and wall or tank mountable for
easy and versatile installation.

Economizer Valve
The Economizer valve mounts on the discharge of the vaporizer and
remains closed until the tank pressure falls to 30 psig. This allows a
supplemental bypass pipe to feed the load directly from the tank saving
the energy of the vaporizer until required. 1” FNPT in and out.

Separators
Separators
Removes heavy ends from gas vapor streams. Especially effective after vaporizers.
Single Stage models provide primary extraction of
heavy end particles and solid material in a gas vapor
stream by centrifugal action in the chamber.
Available in Style A Vertical configuration only.
Two Stage models provide, in addition to the centrifugal action, a
filter element in the chamber for coalescing of fluids suspended in
the gaseous state, as well as collecting solids as small as 5 microns.
Available in Style A Vertical or Style B Horizontal configurations.

LP-Gas Standby Systems
LP-Gas standby fuel installations provide reliable energy needs during natural gas curtailment. Natural gas supplies are often
restricted especially in the winter months when demand on the natural gas mains is at its maximum. The natural gas utilities have
a finite supply of pipeline capacity and experience shortages during peak demand days.
An LP-Gas standby system allows the end user to switch to a compatible propane/air mixture during natural gas curtailment. The
connected plant can continue normal operations with an equivalent clean burning fuel. The plant manager can also gain significent savings in their year-long fuel costs by contracting with the utility for an interruptible natural gas rate.

plant is depicted showing the major

Typical Propane/Air Mixing Systems
A typical arrangement for a propane/Air mixing assembly is depicted. The mixer is a typical venturi style with a mixed gas
holding tank and requires a pressurizing pump to provide the elevated vapor pressure for gas/air mixing.
All piping, valving and ancillary equipment must be selected and installed
according to the provisions of NFPA 58.

Propane/Air Check Valves
A check valve is required on both the natural gas and mixed gas lines upstream of the tie-in point. This prevents the natural gas
from entering the mixed gas lines and the mixed gas from entering the natural gas lines. The respective gas regulators aid in
preventing back flow but should not be depended on as the sole devices left to provide this function.
