We are thrilled to add Melissa to our list of exceptional instructors. Laura Kaufman has joined us, bringing a ballet resume with her that is most impressive. She graduated from the University of Arizona Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in in Dance. She was awarded numerous scholarships to participate in programs such as LINES ballet in San Francisco, Hubbard Street in Chicago, American Ballet Theatre in NYC, Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle, and Kaatsbaan Extreme Ballet in New York. Laura was the recipient of many principal roles and scholarships during college and also later as a member of City Ballet in San Diego. She now is enjoying the variety of styles offered as a member of Odyssey Dance Theatre. Welcome Laura! Barbara Knaub has joined our excellent staff of tumbling teachers. She has danced her whole life and was a member of drill team and a cheerleader in high school. She narrowed her interests to focus on gymnastics and coached at Black Diamond and other gymnastics facilities for the past four years. She is well-qualified to bring her experience and expertise to help our eMotion Dancers reach their goals in tumbling. It is great to have Barbara as a part of our program. Kelsey Walsh has come to eMotion to share her vast experience with our dancers. She earned her BFA in dance at the University of Arizona and has trained extensively in ballet, contemporary and jazz. Her credits include work with The Joffrey Ballet, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, The Movement Invention Project, Keigwin Company and Walt Disney World. She is currently a member of Odyssey Dance Theatre and is looking forward to a European tour in April. We are so happy to have Kelsey with us! Kaeli Robbins has brought her talents and cute personality to help our younger dancers at eMotion. Kaeli brings with her a wide array of dance experience including high school dance and an award winning drill team and many years of performing with the Mountain West Ballet. She has a lifetime of exceptional training with a particular emphasis on ballet. She is busy juggling college and teaching dance this year. We are glad Kaeli is making time for our eMotion dancers. Deedra Newby has recently moved from Indiana to Utah to be with her children and grandchildren. With that move, she brings years of experience which include: founding, directing, teaching and building a recreational dance program from three classes and 16 students to over 40 classes and 350 students; establishing and coaching a high school dance team for 13 years and during that duration a number of state championships, state runner-up titles and two national championships; forming a community dance company; and judging for the IHSDTA (Indiana High School Dance Team Association). Deedra has had a passion for dance since age 4 and now her goal is to train dancers in technical excellence as well as instill within them the desire to dance from their hearts and souls. We are so lucky to have Deedra at eMotion! 7 company performance details Find your company to see which dances will be involved in all upcoming performances Voyage vista May 20-21 Year End Concert/Dress Rehearsal: Jazz, Ballet Mar 04 Ballet Dress Rehearsal: Ballet Vivid Mar 05 Competition Preview: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Optional Tuesday Jazz Mar 04 Ballet Dress Rehearsal: Ballet Mar 05 Competition Preview: Jazz Mar 05 Ballet Concert: Ballet May 07 Aspire Dance Pro Competition: Jazz May 20-21 Year End Concert/Dress Rehearsal: Jazz, Contemporary vibrance Mar 04 Ballet Dress Rehearsal: Ballet Mar 05 Competition Preview: Jazz Mar 05 Ballet Concert: Ballet Mar 12 Dance America Competition: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop Apr 16 Utah Dance Review Competition: Ballet Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Optional Tuesday Jazz May 07 Aspire Dance Pro Competition: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Optional Tuesday Jazz May 20-21 Year End Concert/Dress Rehearsal: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Optional Tuesday Jazz Mar 05 Ballet Concert: Ballet vitality May 07 Aspire Dance Pro Competition: Jazz Mar 04 Ballet Dress Rehearsal: Ballet May 20-21 Year End Concert/Dress Rehearsal: Jazz, Contemporary, Optional Hip Hop, Optional Tap vogue Mar 04 Ballet Dress Rehearsal: Ballet Mar 05 Competition Preview: Jazz, Contemporary Mar 05 Ballet Concert: Ballet May 07 Aspire Dance Pro Competition: Jazz, Contemporary May 20-21 Year End Concert/Dress Rehearsal: Jazz, Contemporary Mar 05 Competition Preview: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap 5 Mar 05 Ballet Concert: Ballet Mar 12 Dance America Competition: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop Apr 16 Utah Dance Review Competition: Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop Apr 29-30 NUVO Convention/Competition: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap 5 Viva May 20-21 Year End Concert/Dress Rehearsal: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Ballroom Mar 04 Ballet Dress Rehearsal: Ballet Vertex Mar 05 Competition Preview: Jazz, Contemporary Mar 05 Ballet Concert: Ballet Apr 16 Utah Dance Review Competition: Jazz, Contemporary May 07 Aspire Dance Pro Competition: Jazz, Contemporary May 20-21 Year End Concert/Dress Rehearsal: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap velocity, Vision, vybes Mar 04 Ballet Dress Rehearsal: Ballet Mar 05 Competition Preview: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop Mar 05 Ballet Concert: Ballet Mar 12 Dance America Competition: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop Apr 16 Utah Dance Review Competition: Ballet Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop Mar 04 Ballet Dress Rehearsal: Ballet Mar 05 Competition Preview: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap 5, Optional Vybes Jazz Mar 05 Ballet Concert: Ballet Mar 12 Dance America Competition: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Optional Vybes Jazz Apr 16 Utah Dance Review Competition: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Optional Vybes Jazz Apr 29-30 NUVO Convention/Competition: Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap 5 May 07 Aspire Dance Pro Competition: Optional Vybes Jazz May 20-21 Year End Concert/Dress Rehearsal: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Ballroom Pre-Professionals May 07 Aspire Dance Pro Competition: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop Mar 05 Competition Preview: Contemporary May 20-21 Year End Concert/Dress Rehearsal: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap Apr 29-30 NUVO Convention/Competition: Contemporary Apr 16 Utah Dance Review Competition: Contemporary May 20-21 Year End Concert/Dress Rehearsal: Contemporary
