INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Note: Pre-soak friction plates for at least 15-20 minutes in the manufacturer’s recommended ATF.
The Alto DrumSaver® stack-up is identical to the OE stack-up. Install the Alto DrumSaver® wave
spring, followed by a steel plate, then a friction plate and continue until the last plate installed is a
friction plate. Finish by installing the OE pressure plate and selective snap ring.

Clutch pack clearance should be .020” to .040” (.51 mm to 1.02 mm) and can be adjusted with one of
8 selective snap rings available from Ford.
