Sumetzberger G.m.b.H Leberstraße 108 A-1110 Vienna General Microprocessor-controlled pneumatic tube station for transport of samples and other pharmaceutical products. The carrier is automatically opened and emptied. Therefore only APA carriers can used. Type of construction Sending and Receiving Station System The carrier passes automatically the lift station above the Station ALS Multi. Following the carrier stops at the two motor slide valves. Only after the carrier is locked into the Station ALS Multi. There will be checked to what kind of carrier it is. In the case of an APA carrier it is automatically opened, emptied and re-sent. In the case of other carriers, they were sent back again without emptying. Station selection The operation is done menu-controlled over a keyboard and a clear text display (individually programmable target numbers and addresses). The keyboard offers the user a 5-digit target selection with an accompanying 16-digit user text. Remove the sheet screen. Wrist the screen wire and shrink it with a shrink hose 0,5-1mm (Mat.No.RP32513) over the whole length. The wires of the bus cable (0,22²) are entered according to the color code into the 5-pole Stoko-plug (Order no.RP32811). The plug is compressed with pliers. (Order no.:RP32146) • Afterwards the outstanding wires are precisely cut with a diagonal cutting nipper (Order no.:RP32148) at the side edges of the plug. (Attention: the used diagonal cutting nipper has to have a flat cutting edge, since outstanding cables may cause errors.) • The two remaining power supply wires (2,5²) are shortened by 30mm, Strip their insulation on a length of 10mm. • The wire end caps with a collar of synthetic material in blue -2,5²- (Mat.No.Q561005) are put over the cable ends and pressed with Variocrimp pliers 4 (WAGO). The system may only be used by persons who are acquaint to the system. Please keep the manual for a later use. Don’t try to maintain or repair the system by your own. Opening Casings and covers may lead to exposed voltage keeping or mechanical (mobile) parts of the devices. Caution! Leave maintenance works to a qualified service department. Never grasp into the tube openings of the station with your hands. Keep station doors closed all the time. Caution: Risk of getting hurt. Take care, not to get foreign objects into the pneumatic tube station. Avoid liquids and moisture near the station. If there is a undesired material or liquid in the station, please shut down the system and inform your qualified service department. Avoid magnetic fields in the stations area. The system is exclusively designed for the sending of suitable Carriers. Please use only Co. Sumetzberger carriers. CAUTION: Electronic parts contain CMOS components. Maintenance Manual 7 - 30 15.11.2012 Station ALS Multi 160 - Version 1.0.5 Maintenance Manual Station ALS Multi Preventive maintenance is a schedule of planned maintenance actions aimed at the prevention of breakdowns and failures before it actually occurs and enhance equipment reliability by replacing worn components before they actually fail. ATTENTION Preventive maintenance works have to be carried out every three month ! Cleaning • Clean inside and outside of the station using synthetic cleaner "Exakt EXTRA". CAUTION Do not spray the cleaner on the circuit board or connectors, because the circuit board will be destroyed! Mechanical tests • Adjust slide valve position. Test function of slide valve • Check function and ease of steering of the revolving part inside the station disassembling and cleaning • Check positioning switches • Adjust positioning of station • Check contact and tight seat of every solder point, plug in connection and clamp • Check tight seat of the motor devices • Check V-belt (increase tension if necessary) • Check mounting, function and examine mechanical damages of the whole station • clean the whole station • Initiate self -test Electrical tests • Operational check of the tube switch for changing direction (between sucking-blowing) • Check function of tube switch (LED lights green as soon as tube switch detects) • Check (measure) positioning switches • Check (measure) motor current • Check (measure) source voltage (idle motion and under load) Errors and omissions excepted.
