Uluwatu Family Bungalow
Located in the elegant, northernmost villa,
the Master Bungalow is tucked away from the
rest, offering the utmost privacy and natural
seclusion – perfect for couples and honeymooners looking to get away from it all. At the
north of the property, the Master Bungalow
boats El Chante’s most impressive view – a
sweeping panorama of the winding mangrove
swamps in the Tamarindo Estuary and the
rich green Guanacaste hillsides. Standing on
the porch, you can check the surf and take
in the entrancing and ever-changing pattern
of the sand at the Tamarindo River Mouth as
the tides gently sway up and down between
Tamarindo Beach and Playa Grande. With the
most pristine view in Guanacaste, the Master
Bungalow features a design to match. You
won’t want to leave your Balinese-style haven
with its intricately woven grass thatched roof
and authentic wood canopy bed and lounge
sofas all shipped directly from the islands of
Indonesia.
Built in the same, Bali-style as the others, the
Family Bungalow is centrally located to the
main house and other villas making it the ideal
space for families traveling with children. This
spacious tropical bungalow features plenty of
room for a couple and their kids with a large
main room complete with a king-size canopy
bed, desk and dressers. Kids will delight in
their own private tree-house cabina, attached
to the front of the Family Bungalow just off
the main porch. Here, kids have their own
personal playground in a charming, open-air
room featuring wooden bunk beds and an adjacent twin-sized bed to sleep up to three little
ones. Parents won’t lose their privacy in the
Family Bungalow, which keeps cool nestled
among the trees – the perfect place to watch
green parrots and howler monkeys pass by
your window as you indulge in natural relaxation.

environmental
Built in harmony with nature, El Chante is designed to make a minimal impact on the natural
environment and instead, to work with and give
back to the land surrounding it.
Situated on a hillside, 300 meters above the
ocean, El Chante’s architecture is based in the
Pacific Rim Tropical style – a building philosophy that celebrates the tropical lifestyle through
open-air structures to elicit natural ventilation
and cooling. With every beam of wood strategically placed to promote free-flowing air circulation, air-conditioning is rendered useless in El
Chante. Instead of relying on energy-consuming
AC-units, guests at El Chante can get away from
man-made technology and feel completely comfortable in the ideal climate to enjoy the tropics.
In addition to the open-air architecture, El Chante
features numerous other recycling systems and
sustainable features that make it a model for
eco-friendly luxury. El Chante is living proof that
5-star luxury does not have to stand apart and
clash with the pre-existing natural environment.
El Chante is the ideal spot for people who enjoy
the finer things in life with a passion for adventure and love of nature and the environment.
Costa Rica’s most progressive home is evidence
that luxury and giving back to the earth and local
communities are no longer mutually exclusive.
Sustainable Features:
• In-house water treatment plant where all water
is recycled and used to irrigate the gardens.
•Lush gardens built around large, natural trees
that purify the air quality and keep the grounds
cool.
•Composting system where extra organic waste
and leftover food is used for fertilizer in the gardens.
•Open-air architectural design to promote ventilation, thus minimizing the need for AC and energy
consumption.
•Constructed from locally harvested plantation
wood.

whether he travels or not; but a man of superior
talent will go to pieces if he remains forever in the
same place….” – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
