 Camp on “Entrepreneurship Awareness”
for Computer Group students
A three days “Entrepreneurship Awareness
Camp” was conducted by the Information
Technology Department for the Final Year
students of Computer Technology and
Information Technology Department from 1st
February 2016 to 3rd February 2016. Mrs.Nalini
Kulkarni (Managing Director, Amol Industries,
Ambad,Nashik) was the chief guest for the
inaugural
function.
Prof.Mrs.V.R.Khapli
(Principal, K.K.Wagh Women‟s Polytechnic)
gave a warm welcome to the chief guest and
guided the students about the importance of this
camp which is being conducted consecutively
since last 6 years. Then Mrs.Nalini Kulkarni
guided the students on how to become a
successful entrepreneur and the qualities that
should be developed for the same by sharing her
experiences and journey. On the first day
Mr.Hemant Patil (Trainer, Udyogwardhini,
Nashik) guided the students on the topic “Goal
Setting in Life and Personality Development”.On
the second day, Mr.Paresh Jhakotia(Project
Manager,Tranqueel
Softwares
,Nashik)
conducted a session on “Business and Job
opportunities in IT and Skillsets required” . He
guided the students about the job opportunities in
all the facets of IT field and made them analyze
their potential for choosing the appropriate career
path. This was followed by the session of

Udyowardhini,Nashik) on the topic “Business
opportunities in Hardware Field”. On the last
day, Mr. Sunil Chandak (Director ,
Udyogwardhini, Nasik) guided the students on
the topic “Project Report Writing ,Market Survey
and Government Schemes”. This was followed
by the session on “Website Development and
Hosting” by Mrs.Bhagyashree Kenge(Web
Editor and Content Writer at Marathiworld.com

The
valedictory function was conducted in the
presence by Mrs.Bhagyashree Kenge as the
Chief Guest, Mr Sunil Chandak and Vice
Principal Prof.Mr.V.S.Tarle. The students shared
their feedback regarding the camp and also were
inspired to take entrepreneurship path as their
future career.

 Workshop on LABVIEW :
Department

Electronics
and
Telecommunication and Communication has
organized a workshop on "LABVIEW" on 6th
February 2016 for third
year students.
Mr.P.S.Aswale was the speaker for this
workshop. He is working as a Asst. Professor at
SITRC, Nashik. He started with objective of this
workshop. He explained LabVIEW is a software
development
environment
that
contains
numerous components, several of which are
required for any type of test, measurement, or

control application. He instructed to the student
about how to use this software and how to design
any project using programming language on it.
He explained the benefits of LABVIEW.In this
way the workshop on LABVIEW is very
beneficial to the students.
 Seminar on Current and Future trends in
Electronics
Department
of
Electronics
and
Telecommunication has organized a seminar on
Current and Future trends in Electronics on 9th
February 2016 for second and third year
students. Mr. Sohan Desale was the speaker. Mr.
Desale is working with as design engineer since
last 10 years at Crompton Greaves, Nashik. He
started the session with introduction of
microcontroller and embedded system. He gave
the very effective information on
embedded
system to the students. He explained the how the
embedded system use full in different
applications, as well as how
some home
appliances based on this system. He focused on
future scope of electronics. In
this way the
seminar was very helpful for students.

on "VLSI Technology " on 27th February 2016
for third year students. Mr. N.S.Chikhale
Director of Ikonic Edge Technolosystem, Pune
was the speaker for this seminar. He started
with introduction on VLSI design. He

Seminar on "How to be a COEPian and
campus recruitment process" is arranged for
third year students. Mr.P.B.Ranade (Alumini of
COEP, Pune ) Motivated to third year students
through his lecture. His idea towards modern

process and MOSFET fabrication of IC. He
explained VLSI design flow and design
architecture to the students. He gave the
information about RTL coding tool. He covered

VHDL coding. He instructed to the student
regarding how to design and simulate the
programs in Xilinx.

be stated as the process of validating and
verifying that a software program or application
or product meets the business and technical
requirements that guided it's design and
development. In this way electronics students
gain the knowledge of software testing and
some software tool.
 Seminar on Awareness of Art of living
Department of Electronics and Communication
and Telecommunication Engineering has
organized an expert lecture in association with
IIPC on “Awareness of art of living” for third
year students on 27 February 2016. Mr. Chirag
Patil ,trainer at art of living center,Nashik. was
the expert for this seminar. He started the
seminar with importance of yoga and meditation
for our happiness. They explained the students
how to manage their stress and emotions in a
healthy way. In this way the students learn to
reduce stress and manage emotions and they
gain the ability to focus and perform well
academically at college, as well as they gain the
ability to build more positive relationships with
their friends, Parents and teachers.
 Seminar on Software testing

Telecommunication has organized a seminar on
"software testing" on 18th February 2016 for
third
year students. Mr. Rajiv Kshisagar
Director of LOTECH Pro system, was the
speaker for this seminar. He explained Software
testing is a process of executing a program or
application with the intent of finding
the software bugs to the students. He gave

 A seminar on “Advanced Computer Projects”
The Dept. of Computer Technology
organized a seminar on „Advanced Computer
Projects' for Third Year & Second Year
Computer Technology students on Thursday,4th
Feb 2016.
Mr. Kaushal Bag, Helping Hands
App Developer, Nashik was the resource person
for this seminar. Mr. Kaushal Bag guided the

students on success story of helping hands
app,what is mobile app? Opportunities for
advanced projects in IT field, how to plan &
implement?. He also guided for career in mobile
app development. Near about 111 numbers of
students attended the lecture from SYCM &
TYCM class.

The Dept. of Computer Technology
organized a seminar on „TOEFL & GRE exams‟
for Third Year Computer Technology students
on Monday, 8th Feb 2016. Mr. Rohit Mehra,
webinar on "6 Tips to protect from Cyber
Bullying" on 12th Feb 2016 for the first and
second year Computer Technology students. The
webinar was online broadcasted by Quick Heal
Technologies Ltd. and presented by Mr. Nikhil

Cyberbullying is defined as the use of internet
and mobile technologies to bully, especially
amongst children and teenagers. Cyberbullying
not only affects the academic career of children
but also adversely impacts their physical, social,
and mental well-being. In webinar, cyber

 Expert Lecture on “User Interface/User
Experience Design”
Asst. Manager, Learning links foundation,
Gurgaon, Hariyana was the resource person for
the seminar.
Mr.Rohit Mehra guided the
students on various programs available in foreign
company, competitive exam for study in foreign
countries, what is GRE & TOEFL, objectives of
these exams, structure of exams, schedule &
contents of exams. Around 60 students of TYCM
was attended the seminar.

The Information Technology department had
an expert talk on the topic "Emotional
Intelligence" was organized for the Second and
Final Year students on 12th February 2016. Mr.

Bagul

New Dream Learning Center,Nashik) was the
speaker for the talk. He guided the students on
behavioral aspects of human personalities. He
discussed about the various Mind States, setting
of goals in life, handling the situations,
increasing the analytical powers and
maintaining mental stability.

Expert Lecture on “Software Testing”
An expert talk on the topic “Software
Testing”” was organized by the Information
Technology Department on 18th February 2016.

the speaker for the session. He guided the
students regarding the software testing field. He
discussed about the basics of testing like black
box and white box testing, unit and integration
testing, performance testing, regression testing
etc. He also guided the students regarding the
importance of certification, the various
certifications that can be acquired in testing field
and choosing software testing as a career choice.
 Workshop on “Goal Setting”
The Information Technology department had
organized a workshop on „Goal Setting‟ for the
Final Year students on 29th February 2016. Mr.
Yogesh Bagul
(Managing Director,
New Dream Learning Center, Nashik) was the
trainer for the workshop. He conducted a
motivating session for the students regarding
the setting of goals in life, understanding the
meaning of goal and its importance, how to
achieve the goals. He also shared stories and
examples of successful people.

 Industrial Visit to Boost Electronics,
Vilholi, Nashik.

Telecommunication organized industrial visit at
Boost Electronics on 17th February 2016 for
second year students. Mr. Yogesh Bedase gave
the information about company. He explained
Boost Electronics is one of the reputed
manufacturers, exporters and suppliers of
automation and control Panels. In addition to it,
company also offers range of Interfacing
Modules, Relay Modules, Signal Isolators and
Converters, SMPS, Cable Assemblies etc. used

Communication Department
Visit to Adharthirth Adharashram , Nashik
in PLC and CNC applications. Company also
manufactures range of electrical control panels. He
guided about various value added products like Relay
modules, PLC specific wiring solutions, CNC
interface cards, Cable harness, customized solutions
to the students. He explained how today BOOST has
range of Relay and Field Interfacing Modules and
Cards designs and cable solutions suitable for various
leading systems like Siemens, L&T, Rockwell,
Honeywell, Invensys, B & R, Emerson, ABB,
Yokogawa, GE, Fanuc, etc. Students got various
information of company. The visit proved very
informative to students.
 Industrial Visit to Winjit Technologies
The Information Technology department had
organized an industrial visit to Winjit
Technologies on 16th February. Ms.Sneha (HR
Manager) introduced the students about the
journey of Winjit Technologies, the vision and
mission of the company, the projects undertaken,
new ventures and initiatives undertaken. Mr.
Trideep Banarjee (Sr.Developer) along then
interacted with the students and discussed the
entire software development life cycle along with
testing lifecycle. He also discussed about the
projects related to app development in Android
as well as iOS. Students then visited different
sections of the company and observed the
corporate culture and working.
Departments

Telecommunication has
organized social
activity at adharthirth adharashram with second
year students on 20th February 2016. Adhartirth
Adharaashram is a NGO, who are engaged in
providing children's who are orphans with
adequate meals, education, yoga and health
training, training in religious literature and Ved.
At a present time, they have 168 Boys & 142
girls in the age group of 3-16 years from all
over the such areas as Vidharbha, Konkan and
Marathawada. Students visited to adharashram
and they interacted with the children‟s. Students
donated some grocery, cloths, and food, as well
as educational material such as notebooks,
pencils, etc. In this way students happily
participated in social activity.
 Parents Teacher meet:
Institute has organized parent teacher meet on 6th
February 2016. Parent teacher meet started with
the departmental activities and progress of the
department. Some parents asked queries
regarding scholarship facilities, bus facilities.
Parents visited the department and interacted
with subject teachers to know progress of their
wards.

Batch visited the college on 26th February 2016.
They interacted with the Final Year students and
discussed about their journey from the College
upto their job. They shared their experiences of
how to face examinations, how to prepare
resume, preparing for the interviews, the various
job opportunities after diploma, their job
experience and the skillset expected by the
industry. The Final Year students had an
informative interaction with them and enjoyed
the session.

Development” at K.K.Wagh Polytechnic,
Nashik on 10th February 2016. The training
focused on development of the soft skills
comprising of topics like positive thinking,
communication skills, and personality traits,
handling fear and increasing confidence.

Ms.M.D.Patil
(Lecturer,
Information
Technology Department) attended a training on
“Oracle Database 11g: Introduction to SQL
Release 2” at K.K.Wagh Polytechnic, Nashik
from 11th Feb to 15th Feb 2016. The trainer was
Mr.Suman Aich from Paladian Services. The
training comprised of the basics of oracle
including the DDL DML commands, database
administration and performance tuning.
Student Achievements

The students of all Department participated in
various activities like Paper Presentation,
Workshops , Poster Competition and Project
Competition and IEDSSA(Inter Engineering
Diploma Student‟s Sports Association)-Zonal
Sports Competition.


Students from all department participated in
the IEDSSA event held at Dr. Vikhe Patil
College of Polytechic, Loni Ms.Pratiksha
Shirude and Ms.Purva Patil were the Winners
of Carrom Event. Also Shweta Kalyani
(Second Year), Shraddha Jajoo (Second Year)
and Sanskruti Hegde (First Year) were a part
of the basketball team which was the winner.
