NEW Author Night: Reading and
Discussion of Missing Persons
In this new series of authors introducing
and reading from their recently published
works, John Surowiecki will speak about
his creative process and impetus behind
the writing of his new award-winning
chapbook of poems, Missing Persons. This
book remembers those who are no longer
with us: some have died, moved away,
vanished mysteriously, have endured
suffering quietly and without complaint,
been institutionalized, aged beyond
recognition, or have simply changed. A
book signing will follow the discussion
and reading.

NEW Connecticut Spring Town Meeting
Who knows? Who knew? This pretty much
sums up the Presidential Campaign as
viewed from Connecticut, now entering the
home stretch. It is also get-even and pushback time for our Town Meeting merrymakers to rate the contestants, assisted by
some talented experts and wry observers
from the field of journalism, politics, reality,
and much more. Let’s relive the campaign
thus far—probably underwhelmed but everhopeful—while remembering: It’s the vote
that counts, not the alleged “debates.” Then,
there’s immigration, equal pay, terrorism,
guns, health, pipelines, the economy, the
Middle East, and partridges in pear trees.
