This pretty much sums up the Presidential Campaign as viewed from Connecticut, now entering the home stretch. It is also get-even and pushback time for our Town Meeting merrymakers to rate the contestants, assisted by some talented experts and wry observers from the field of journalism, politics, reality, and much more. Let’s relive the campaign thus far—probably underwhelmed but everhopeful—while remembering: It’s the vote that counts, not the alleged “debates.” Then, there’s immigration, equal pay, terrorism, guns, health, pipelines, the economy, the Middle East, and partridges in pear trees.
