Dipl.-Inf. Andreas Reinhold · Blumenstr. 36 · 97332 Volkach · Germany · Fax: +49-9381-710656 · Mobile: +49-170-8548257 Installation and Operation Instructions Peugeot 207cc Comfort Module Before installation: Please read these instructions carefully and take your time with the installation. Performing the installation improperly can cause damage to the module or to electronic components in your vehicle. Claims cannot be asserted for consequences which arise out of disregard for these installation instructions. If you are not confident in doing the installation yourself, please obtain the services of a vehicle specialist. ! Attention: Installation of this module may be grounds to invalidate your vehicle's homologation (general type certification) and/or its manufacturer's warranty. Do not operate the convertible top without the presence of another person – there is no entanglement protection. The installation and operation of the module is at your own risk. ! Attention: Do not use a soldering iron which is directly powered by mains voltage because its soldering tips are grounded to earth. Touching vehicle electronics with a grounded contact can cause discharge current to damage the vehicle's electronics and in the module. No liability for such damage will be assumed. ! Attention: The colors of the wires inside the car are not relevant – they may differ from car to car. The pin-numbers at the connectors are the only important issue for proper installation. Functional description: The module only uses functions which were originally built into the vehicle. All data relevant to convertible top control (e.g. limit switches, window position, speed) will be continuously monitored. All OEM safety functions (under / over voltage cut-off, thermal protection, etc.) remain intact. © www.cabrio-module.de page 1 of 12 Dipl.-Inf. Andreas Reinhold · Blumenstr. 36 · 97332 Volkach · Germany · Fax: +49-9381-710656 · Mobile: +49-170-8548257 The module's top functions: • One touch function for the top’s switch: Now you need only to tap (>2s) with your finger on the convertible top switch, then the top will automatically open or close. This automatic operation can be interrupted at any time by simply tapping on the switch again in the opposite direction. When the top switch is tapped again in the same direction while the roof moves, the windows will stay open at the end of the roof movement. You can start the top's operation, pull out the ignition key, get out of the car and lock it – the top will continue to automatically close or open without the ignition. • Operating the top while driving (up to a speed of 60 km/h maximum): Up to a pre-programmed speed (though not greater than 60 km/h), you can operate the top while driving. The default setting for a new module is 50Km/h. • Threshold speed adjustment: Press the top switch in direction “close“ when top is closed or in direction “open” when top is open for >5s and the current speed will be set as new threshold limit. An acoustic signal will be sounded and a message1 will be displayed as confirmation that the new speed has been set. The maximum threshold speed is 60Km/h. • Operating the top per OEM remote control: Press the Open switch on the remote control >3s and the top will open automatically. Closing the top works in the same way except that the Close button on the remote control is used. When the remote switch is pressed again within 4s after the movement starts, the windows will stay open at the end of the roof movement. As a safety precaution, the top movement can be stopped later by pressing any button on the remotekey You can start the top's operation, start the engine and drive away while the top is moving – it will continue the movement until it’s opened/closed completely. 1 ) the message is not relevant and can’t be changed out of technical reasons © www.cabrio-module.de page 2 of 12 Dipl.-Inf. Andreas Reinhold · Blumenstr. 36 · 97332 Volkach · Germany · Fax: +49-9381-710656 · Mobile: +49-170-8548257 The module's window functions: • One touch close for all windows: A short tap on the central windows switch will close all windows automatically. The windows movement can be interrupted by pressing the switch again. • Automatic window movement while driving when top is open: The windows will be closed if the car is faster then V_up and will open when the car slower than V_down. The windows movement can be interrupted by pressing the central window switch again. When the module is new, this function is not enabled. It can be enabled when the car is standing and the central window switch is pressed >10s in direction „close“. The default setting for V_up is 50Km/h, for V_down 75Km/h. An acoustic signal will be sounded and a message1 will be displayed as confirmation that the function was enabled/disabled. The speed setting for V_up (automatic close) can be set by holding the central window switch in „close“ direction while driving. The speed setting for V_down (automatic open) can be set by holding the central window switch in „open“ direction while driving. An acoustic signal will be sounded and a message1 will be displayed as confirmation that the new speed is set. The module's other functions: • Service mode for technical vehicle inspections and diagnostic purposes: When the vehicle's ignition key is in the Acc. position (ignition key position 2) and the top is closed the top switch can be held depressed for longer than 5 s to switch between service mode and normal mode. The module is completely passive in service mode, i.e. all functions operate as if no module was installed. The module cannot even be detected with vehicle diagnostic equipment. An acoustic signal will be sounded and a message1 will be displayed as confirmation that the mode has changed. Service mode is set by default after the battery has been disconnected or after the module is initially installed. • Battery Safe Funktion: The module will go to power down mode automatically when it is not needed. So the battery will not be discharged by the module. 1 ) the message is not relevant and can’t be changed out of technical reasons © www.cabrio-module.de page 3 of 12 Dipl.-Inf. Ignition must be off during this. Module doesn’t work, no error message appears Module is not activated (page 3, service mode) Module works, but it’s not possible to operate the top by remote Twisted wires under the steering wheel are not connected right or to the wrong wire pair. Module works, but it’s not possible to operate the top while driving The brown wire of the comfortmodule leading to pin 22 (page 8, picture 14) has no contact or is connected to the wrong wire. Module works, but it’s not possible to operate the top by the top switch The wiring to pin 26 and 27 at connector B of the top control unit is wrong or the wiring to pin 3 and pin 4 of the 6-pole connector to the comfortmodule is wrong.
