all over Delaware for four- to seventeen-year-olds. Many
camps offer before and after care.
Camps by Park:
These camps are very popular, so parents are encouraged
to register children early. For dates, fees and registration

Rock Climbing Nature Quest
Camp

rock climbing while completing an
adventure quest in Alapocas Run

Test your strength, agility and
concentration while exploring the
world of rock climbing. Campers will
learn the basics, climb indoors at the
Delaware Rock Gym, climb and hike at Alapocas Run State Park, and canoe the

Before and After Care
Before and after care are available for all full-day camps. Before care begins at
7:30 a.m. and after care runs through 5:30 p.m. $30 per week each or $60 for both.
Scholarships
Limited scholarship funds may be available through a contribution from the Friends of

SPRING BREAK CAMP

Challenge your mental and physical skills while exploring the world of rock
climbing. Campers will discover the basics of top rope climbing, learn belaying
and rappelling, and hike at Alapocas Run State Park. Climbing equipment is

We travel to Flint Woods Nature

Brandywine Zoo’s Summer Camps provide the opportunity to spend the summer
outside at the Zoo learning about animals, zoos and wildlife conservation.
Camps will be filled with Zoo visits, live animal presentations, crafts, games,
stories, learning projects and more.
Payment and Cancellation Policy: Payment is due in full at time of registration.
A $25 processing fee will be charged for all cancellations up to April 30;
cancellations after May 1 will receive a 50% refund; no refunds after June 1.

Unravel a wildlife mystery with help from
a real park ranger. Learn techniques like
tracking and fingerprinting to solve the
“crime.” Explore insects, animals, trees
and creek life in exciting eco-explorations,
including creeking and tubing.

Junior Camps continued
Day camps at Cape Henlopen focus on the natural and cultural resources within
the park. Our staff provides a safe and fun opportunity for children to enjoy the park
and make new friends. Participants will share such experiences as seining, hiking,
beachcombing and other outdoor adventures. Registration opens March 2.

Fishing Camp
Where the Wild Things Live
Week-long Spring and Summer Day camps run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at
the Nature Center. Before and after care are available at an additional cost
for summer camps only ($15/week for before care, $25/week for after care).
Registration opens January 2. If you are interested and would like to receive
information on any of our camps, please call the Nature Center at (302) 284-4299.
We reserve the right to cancel camps that have fewer than five participants.
What lives in the different waterways
of Delaware. Fishing excursions for the
week will include freshwater fishing in
Killens and Coursey’s Ponds, seining
at Cape Henlopen, fish dissection and
more. No experience is needed; we
supply bait and equipment.
Walk on the wild side this week to learn
more about the animals of our world.
Participate in games and activities
exploring the world of the wild. We
will visit the Brandywine Zoo and the
Delaware State Fair.

Water Wonderland
Survivor
Enjoy a week of all the water Killens
Pond has to offer. Campers will
explore the pond on paddleboats,
discover the critters in the pond by
dip-netting and fishing, and take daily
swim lessons at the water park. All
swimming levels are welcome.
Learn the necessities of surviving in
the wild. Acquire orienteering, shelter
building and fire starting skills, and put
your abilities to the test when we camp
out on Thursday night. Dinner on
Thursday and breakfast and lunch on
Friday will be provided.
