The Hot Water Wash system automatically cleans the hood plenum after the cooking is done for the day. One benefit of the Captrate Filter Line is reduced fire hazard and maintenance associated with grease build-up in hood plenums, duct work, fan assemblies, rooftops and adjacent surfaces. The Captrate Combo Filter uses a multistage grease filtration system to deliver unparalleled efficiency for restaurant hood systems. The first stage consists of an optimized S-baffle, which is designed to remove and drain the larger grease particles. The second stage features a packed-bed of porous ceramic media designed to capture the smaller grease particles associated with commercial cooking. The Captrate Solo Filters are designed to capture and remove a high percentage of the total grease particle emissions produced during commercial kitchen cooking operations. The Solo is a single-stage filter which features a unique S-baffle design in conjunction with a slotted rear baffle design. ® ® ® system 10 pollution control unit The Economical Solution to Delivering Clean Air The CaptiveAire Pollution Control Unit (PCU) Series is designed specifically for the removal of smoke and grease particles from the air stream of commercial kitchen exhaust systems. When paired with optional odor control, the PCU Series eliminates or reduces odor to acceptable levels. The PCU is designed for use with a CaptiveAire high efficiency self-cleaning or baffle ventilator, but may be used with other high efficiency exhaust hoods. The typical PCU includes a washable steel pre-filter and disposable, high efficiency (MERV 14) media filter. A HEPA final filter is available for smoke control, and odor control is handled via an optional 50/50 blend carbon/permanganate module. The PCU Series is ETL-Listed and complies with UL710 Standards. For ease of installation, the unit may be shipped in one piece or in sections to facilitate entry and installation. A temperature sensor in the hood/exhaust duct collar works with an electronic controller to modulate exhaust and make-up air fan speeds to save energy. A simple control panel provides a setting to increase the fans to full speed if required. CaptiveAire’s EMS meets the requirements of IMC 507.2.1.1, which requires exhaust fans to activate when cooking appliances are energized. The Grease Duct is a single wall construction made from 430 stainless steel. Tempering dedicated make-up air to temperatures respectively lower and higher than HVAC settings helps customers save on energy costs. Direct-fired burners allow flue gases to remain in the make-up air, retain more of the air’s heat, and heat with more efficiency. CaptiveAire’s direct-fired heaters are ETL-Listed and comply with ANSI Z83.4a-2001 standards. perforated supply plenum (psp) Make-Up Air Delivery CaptiveAire’s Perforated Supply Plenum (PSP) delivers make-up air where it is needed most while minimizing the amount of air that diffuses into space. The PSP accessory saves energy because less make-up air is diffused into the kitchen, decreasing the HVAC load, thus lowering operating costs. One of those solutions is our Direct-Drive fans, which are an average of 10 percent more efficient than belt-drive exhaust fans. Direct-drive fans have less friction while operating because they do not require belts, pulleys, or bearings. This reduction in friction increases operating efficiency and lowers operating costs by eliminating belt and bearing replacement.
