5th Grade Fundraiser:
Great American Catalog
We are counting on your support to reach our
fundraising goals this year. Please help our
5th grade by supporting the sales of the Great
American Catalog. There are tons of great
products this year such as invitations, greeting
cards, totes, tumblers, sweets, candles,
wrapping paper, jewelry and so much more!!!
The order forms are due Friday, Sept 5th.
Estimated product delivery is mid
October. There will also be online sales which
makes selling easy. Look for packets to come
home on Friday, August 22nd.
WESTCHASE WIZARDS!
What if you could make a difference in the
world……would you???
The National PTA’s art program “Reflections” is
underway. This year’s theme is *The world would
be a better place if……*
Each year Westchase students are encouraged
to reflect and participate in this wonderful
program intended to inspire the art-minded.
There are six categories to select from: visual
arts, photography, literature, music composition,
dance choreography and film production. A
submission form must be submitted with the
student’s work and is available in the front office
or on the Westchase PTA website.
Submissions can be dropped off in the front office
until November 3rd. All participants will be
entered into a raffle to win prizes and artists will
be recognized with an Ice Cream social and
preview night in November. So let’s get those
creative juices flowing and bring this year’s theme
to life.

BOX TOPS (Sept – Oct)
PTA MEMBERSHIP Please support your PTA by completing and
returning the Membership form included in
your First Day folders. Individual Memberships
are only $6.00 (or $20 per family). A portion
of the dues will be used to fund programs at
school. Deadline for submission to earn class
incentive is Friday, September 5.
COMMUNITY DISCOUNT CARDS Community Discount Cards are on sale in the
front office for $10 and offer savings at local
stores, restaurants & more! You may also
complete and return the form found in the First
Day folders.
5TH GRADE COMMITTEE MTG – Aug 27th
Starting at 8:30 in the MPR. Annual meeting
to review the Fifth Grade fundraiser, volunteer
needs and end of year plans. Any questions,

PTA VOLUNTEER BREAKFAST – Aug 29th
There are MANY ways to be involved in your
child’s education. ALL gifts of time are
appreciated, so please return the enclosed
form found in the First Day folder. Please
attend the Volunteer Breakfast on Friday,
August 29 at 8:30 AM in the Multi-Purpose
Room (MPR) to learn more about volunteer
opportunities.
PARENT/STAFF KICK BALL – Sept 26th Bring the whole family to this annual event on
Friday, September 26 at 6:00 p.m. It's a
great opportunity to get to know our fantastic
faculty, staff and Wizard families. Kickball, hot
dogs and lots of fun for everyone!
This is an easy way to help support our school!
Each Box Top is worth 10 cents. That adds up
very fast. Tell all your family members and outof-town friends to send you their Box Tops.
AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT (ASE)
The PTA is excited to announce the Fall 2014
After School Enrichment (ASE) schedule! Get
ready for more fun, interactive and skillbuilding classes. It's all done for you - great
instructors, popular topics, and the
convenience of having it right at school!
Registration is Wednesday, September 3rd
and Thursday, September 4th
You DO NOT need to line up at the front office
- classes will be filled by LOTTERY. Classes
will run from September 17th/18th through
November 12th/13th for 9 sessions.
SPIRITLINE
If you're new to Westchase Elementary, your
kids will LOVE our new spirit shirts and
Westchase Elementary logo shirts. Lots of
'bling' for the girls and athletic wear for the
boys. We also carry great items for the
parents!
We are excited to announce our own 'School
Store' where you will find different items than
on campus. These items are exclusive to our
store and will be rotated out every
month. When ordering on-line, you place your
order, pay by credit card and merchandise is
delivered to the school to be sent home with
your child.
