School Store is Opening!! October 5th!
This is a great little place for the students to buy fun school supplies. We are
looking for volunteers to help us out in the school store on a weekly basis
8:20-8:40am.

Box Tops -
Contest ends October 16th!
Get those box tops in labeled zip top bags to ensure they are counted
in to the school NOW and keep sending them. We are hoping for 50
box tops from every student. Be the Box Top King or Queen!!

OCTOBER’S Volunteer of the Month
Heather Lockhart
Heather is a stay at home mom of two, Alivia, who is in Ms. Helms’ third grade
class and Alexis, who is in 6th grade at Corporate Landing Middle School. She has
been married 19 years to her husband Richard and volunteers as a Sunday school
teacher. At Strawbridge, she has always helped extensively in the classroom,
assisted in the cafeteria, and currently also works on the PTA folders and anything
else on Wednesday Workdays. Thank you so much for all you do, Heather!

FALL FESTIVAL-October 23rd
6-8pm
It’s that time of the year!! Voted by the kids as the
most fun! Haunted Stage, Haunted Halls, Games,
Treats, & or course Tricks! Don’t miss out on the best
SES PTA event. The event is only 2 hours, so don’t
waste time in line the night of the festival.
Wristbands will be sold in advance:
$10 admission for K-12 students
Adults & Toddlers are always FREE!
Participate in the Direct Donation Fundraiser at the
“Great White Shark” level and get your whole family
into the Fall Festival and Spring Carnival FOR FREE!!

RED RIBBON WEEK
October 26th-30th
Red Ribbon Week is a time in which students are
encouraged to make good decisions regarding drug
use, including pledging to not use drugs, and being
a positive influence on their friends and peers.
There are various activities during the week in which
the kids can make the pledge to live a drug-free life
and show off their commitment to do so.
Keep an eye out for upcoming flyers!
