Dear West Gates Families,
A huge THANK YOU to all of the wonderful volunteers who made the many events and
activities we had in October such a success! We could not make all of our programs work without your
support!
Our exciting PARP journey over the “Yellow Book Road” is over, but your child’s reading
journey continues! Please make sure to participate in our Scholastic Fall Book Fair. Your child will
be able to buy books with his/her class on either Nov. 6th or 7th, and you will be have the opportunity to
shop for books and other goodies on Family Preview Night, Wednesday November 5th.
If you haven’t already done so, please consider joining the PTA. Your membership dues help us
to bring all of the programs and activities like PARP, the Halloween parties, the Book Fair and all the
enjoyable Arts in Ed assemblies to the school, and your involvement in the PTA helps to enrich all of
the children’s experiences. All of our committees welcome new volunteers, so please reach out to the
Committee Chairperson if you see something in which you would like to be involved. Also, please
remember that you must be a member of the PTA in order to be a Class Parent.

Pumpkin Pick
Thank you to all our volunteers, including the Dedicated Dads for unloading the
truck at 7am and all the parents who helped throughout the day! Your help and
support made this year’s Pumpkin Pick a success!

3rd - 5th Grade Halloween Dance
Thank you to all our chaperones, face painters, food donators, and our set up/ clean up crew! The children had a
fantastic time dancing the night away! Thank you for making the night a fun success! We and the children truly appreciate all the work you put into making the night amazing! Happy Halloween!
