Organisé par la Fédération Internationale de
l’Automobile et Citroën Racing, le championnat
FIA Junior WRC constitue un point de passage
incontournable pour les pilotes désirant évoluer par
la suite en WRC2 et en WRC. Généralement issus
des championnats nationaux, continentaux (ERC,
MERC…) ou des formules de promotion telles que le
Citroën Racing Trophy, les pilotes doivent être âgés
de moins de 28 ans et s’aligner avec le concours
d’une équipe de leur choix.

Après deux saisons 2014 et 2015 couronnées de
succès, la formule du championnat FIA Junior WRC
repose sur des fondamentaux solides. Engagés
sur des DS 3 R3-MAX, les concurrents disputent
un programme de six manches choisies pour leur
capacité à révéler la performance, la constance et la
polyvalence des pilotes.
Sur chaque rallye, Citroën Racing assure
l’encadrement sportif du championnat et met en
place un support technique pour les équipes. Ce
dispositif vise à garantir une parfaite équité entre les
concurrents du championnat FIA Junior WRC.
Comme Stéphane Lefebvre et Quentin Gilbert les
saisons précédentes, le Champion FIA Junior WRC
2016 bénéficiera d’un programme mis en place par
Citroën Racing et ses partenaires Total et Michelin,
avec la participation à six manches du WRC2 sur une
DS 3 R5.
AN ESSENTIAL STEPPING STONE TO
THE UPPER ECHELONS OF RALLYING
Organised by the FIA and Citroën Racing, the FIA Junior WRC is an essential
stepping stone for young drivers hoping to make it into the WRC2 and then the
WRC. Generally graduating from national and continental championships (ERC,
MERC, etc.) or from promotional formulas such as the Citroën Racing Trophy,
drivers must be under 28 years old and join forces with a team of their choosing.
Following two highly successful seasons in 2014 and 2015, the formula of the
FIA Junior WRC is now built on some very solid foundations. Competing in DS 3
R3-MAXs, the competitors must tackle a programme of six rounds chosen for their
capacity to identify the performance, consistency and versatility of the drivers.
At each rally, Citroën Racing manages the sporting side of the championship and
also provides technical support to the teams. This system ensures that all of the
drivers and teams in the FIA Junior WRC are treated entirely fairly and equally.
Like Stéphane Lefebvre and Quentin Gilbert in previous seasons, the 2016 FIA
Junior WRC Champion will be rewarded with a programme run by Citroën Racing
and its partners Total and Michelin, involving participation in six rounds of the
WRC2 in a DS 3 R5.

CLASSEMENT TEAM
– Citroën Racing organise un classement Team.
– Chaque Team doit obligatoirement engager deux DS3 R3-MAX, soit
seul ou en s’associant avec un autre préparateur. Dans ce cas, le Team
doit déclarer un responsable auprès de Citroën Racing.
– Un Team peut s’engager à tout moment de la saison, en respectant
la date de clôture d’engagement du premier rallye auquel il souhaite
participer.
– Les points marqués seront ceux des deux voitures du Team.

TEAMS’ STANDINGS
– Citroën Racing is organising a Teams’ championship.
– Each Team must enter two DS3 R3-MAXs, either on their
own or by joining forces with another company. In this case,
the Team must declare a representative to Citroën Racing.
– A Team may enter the championship at any point in the
season, provided it submits its application before the closing
date for entries for the first rally in which it would like to take
part.
– Points will be scored by both cars entered by the Team.
