Two world-renowned car racetracks
• The Paul Ricard High Tech Test Track A at the Castellet, is an exceptional racetrack equipped with the latest
state-of-the-art safety concepts. After hosting the Formula One French Grand Prix and the Motorcycle World Championship
Grand Prix on several occasions and many Bol d´Or races, it was reopened in 2002 as a high-tech test track fully dedicated
to performance, safety and development, with its 5.861-km track and 180 different possible configurations.
The new Paul Ricard HTTT track received FIA certification in 2006 and has become a reference in the world of motorsport
racetracks. Today, the track hosts official car races and club races, but also organises GT driving sessions.
The year 2009 has seen certain races opened back up to the general public with the construction
of the new 5,000 seat grandstands.

• The Circuit du Var B in Le Luc-en-Provence.
This 2.4-km track works in close cooperation with 2 driving schools, welcomes a large number of French
and international motorcycling clubs, as well as a clientele of motorcycle and car racing enthusiasts.

With 220 employees and 40 € million in turnover, the ORECA group has developed many motorsport activities: car racing,
events and sport marketing in the motorsport field, Formula One-derived interactive activities, consulting, engineering
and production, preparation and development of racing engines, sale and distribution of sport equipment for motorsports
and exclusive Audi and Porsche driving programmes. The ORECA team has won over 380 races and is the team with the most
titles in Europe outside Formula One. The Var is home to 2 of the group’s 4 entities at ORECA Signes:

At the heart of one of the leading industrial sectors in France
(88 billion euros in turnover - 27 billion euros in investment),
the automobile sector in the Var has made a name for itself by focusing
on motorsports and luxury vehicles. Born of a combination of passion
and high technology, this growing activity with a strong innovative dynamic
is backed up by:
• two world-renowned race tracks and road infrastructures which make the Var
the regional leader in hosting domestic and international races and rallies,
• four certified go-kart tracks (Brignoles, Le Luc, Fréjus and Le Castellet),
• a network of some fifty businesses (overall estimated staff: 900 employees)
working in all motorsport fields (design, production, driving schools,
marketing, etc.),
• a large number of drivers and teams make their home in the Var: Tech3,
GP world championship team, Team Oreca, etc.
• real know-how transmitted by the different training and research centres,
• two competitive centres providing assistance for business innovation,
• a strong concentration of bikers (2nd region in France for the number of bikers)
and the largest motorcycle dealers in Europe,
• organisation of special events: Harley Davidson Eurofestival in Saint-Tropez,
Toulon is a regular stop in the Dark Dog Moto Tour, jet ski offshore world
championship (Cavalaire), etc.
