NPCIL participated in India International Trade Fair (IITF) - 2015,
during 14 – 27 Nov. 2015 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
NPCIL participated in the 35th India International Trade Fair (IITF) – 2015, in association with the
Ministry of Power , Government of India, organized by India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) at
Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Ministry of Power Pavilion was adjudged best pavilion among all the
pavilions, for Excellence in Display category and awarded Gold Medal in IITF – 2015 once again.
The two-week long trade fair that had theme of “Make In India” was inaugurated by Honorable
President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee on November 14, 2015.
NPCIL had setup its exhibition along with interactive model and attractive displays to highlight the
beneficial aspects of nuclear power to the public and to allay the prevailing myths and apprehensions
related with safety of the NPPs and Radiation etc. The stall also showcased the capabilities of the NPCIL
in nuclear power generation. During the two week period, nearly 5 lakh persons were addressed in NPCIL
stall and their queries on various aspects of nuclear power were answered satisfactorily by resource
persons.
Following Resource Persons addressed the public visiting the nuclear gallery : Shri A. K. Jain,
ACE (CC), Shri Bharat Bhushan, DM (CC), Shri S. V. Patil, Sr. EE (CP), Shri Sanjeev K Singh, Sr. EE,
(HSE), Shri Sanjay Sharma, EE (CP), Shri B. N. Raghvendra, SO/C (CC) all from HQs; Shri S. M.
Sharique, SO/F (NTC), Shri J. S. Sokhi, SO/D (NTC), from RR Site ; and Shri Ravi Bansal, SO/E, from
Noida Office.
Other prominent participants in the Ministry of Power Pavilion in the IITF – 2015 were Power
Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVNL), Bhakra Beas
Management Board (BBMB), Rural Electrification Corporation (REC), Power Finance Corporation
(PFC), Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Central Power
Research Institute (CPRI), National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC), Ministry of Power (MOP),
National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Tehri Hydro Development Corporation (THDC), Damodar
Valley Corporation (DVC), North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) etc.
