Bowling Green Assembly’s 25th Anniversary
Celebration - September 8 -10, 2006
On June 1, 1981, after first being produced in Flint, MI and then St. Louis, MO, the 1st Chevrolet Corvette rolled off the line
in Bowling Green, KY. Twenty-five years later, America’s automotive icon continues being built in this world-famous plant
along with the most recent addition – the Cadillac XLR. Now it’s time to celebrate. Join us for a weekend of fun!
Saturday, September 9 Daytime Activities
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Corvette Museum’s Grounds
Food vendors: Cambridge Market and Shogun. Hawaiian ice, cotton candy, and Italian ice also available
Entertainment: Local band, The Fender Benders
Activities: (FREE except for the inflatables)
o Parade begins at 10:00 a.m. You can watch the parade from the museum’s grounds. Activities at museum will begin immediately
following the parade
o GM Vehicle Displays (including Saturn SKY) and XM Radio Kiosk
o Car & Motorcycle Show
o GM Motorsports simulated race car driving
o C6R race car drivers Johnny O’Connell and Ron Fellows will talk to fans and sign autographs
o Door prizes including rare Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Brian Vickers, and Rick Hendrick autographed pieces!
o Children’s activities:

Inflatable children activities (unlimited access for $5 or $1 for one time through)
•
Obstacle course provided by the KY National Guard
•
Mini-car races conducted by C6R racecar drivers Johnny O’Connell and Ron Fellows. Mini
cars will travel on jet-powered water; choose your car, and the winner of each heat will
receive an autographed prize.
•
Golf driving range for children; they will receive Pro Golfer Kenny Perry autographed golf
balls (limited, so get there early).
Saturday, September 9 Evening Concert
Time: 6:25 p.m.; gates open at 4:30 p.m.
Location: Corvette Museum’s Amphitheater
Food vendors: Chick-Fil-A, Rafferty’s, Montana Grille, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Hibbett’s (burgers,
brats, pork). Hawaiian ice, cotton candy, and Italian ice also available
Entertainment: Local band FLOORD, 2005 Nashville Star Winner Erika Jo, and Country Music Star

Children’s activities: Inflatable children activities (unlimited access for $10 or $1 for one time
through)
Tickets: $15.00 each if purchased before Sept. 9. Day of event tickets are $20.00 each. Admission is
