EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Foundation Begins
Achievement
It all begin in the 1970s, when the local
construction industry experienced a major boost
due the demands for more office buildings,
residential houses, better infrastructure
throughout the country as well as development
plans for rural and urban areas. It was at this
point that one man’s vision to fully capitalise on
this situation brought about the beginning of a
new major force in the local construction scene.
His experience and expertise together with the
capabilities of his team ensured that this
company delivered always on time and with full
satisfaction from all its customers.
January 1995 will always be remembered as a
key stone in the calendar of Bina Puri when Bina
Puri Holdings Bhd was listed on the Main Board
of Bursa Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur Stock
Exchange) and was given a more than
resounding response from the general investing
public.
The person who achieved this feat is none other
than our Founding Director, Dr. Tony Tan Cheng
Kiat, who registered Bina Puri Sdn Bhd as a ‘BX’
class licensed contractor in 1975 and within ten
years of operations worked his way up into being
a class ‘A’ building and civil engineering
contractor. Such was the achievement of Bina
Puri that since then up to the present time, with
proven track record in the consturction industry.

We are indeed proud to mention that the
company has successfully completed many major
projects both locally as well as internationally.
Bina Puri has ventured into multi million Ringgit
mega projects which includes among others the
construction of major highways, roads and
expressway, airport related works, water works,
drainage & irrigation works as well as land
reclamation. Apart from this, we were also given
the honour and privilege to build institutes of
higher learning, schools, hospitals, high rise
commercial buildings, residential houses,
government complexs, port administration and
many others.
Over the years, Bina Puri Group as a whole has
been given due recognition for the many works
completed by the company for the many satisfied
customers by the local governing boards in the
construction industry. Among the many accolades
and awards bestowed on the group are the
Prominent Player Award (2005), Contractor
Award G7 (2007), International Achievement
Award (2008) as well as the MS ISO 9001:2000
just to highlight a few of the awards received.
It is also an honour for the Company to have our
Group Managing Director, YBhg Tan Sri Datuk Tee
Hock Seng, JP on being elected into the local
Senate in 2008, being appointed to the Board of
Directors of Malaysian Industry-Government
Group for High Technology (MiGHT), Master
Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM) and
Malaysia South-South Association (MASSA).
The Bina Puri Group of company recently
celebrated its 35th Anniversary and it was indeed
a great achievement for a company with its
humble beginnings to grow from strength to
strength with each passing year and being able
to keep up with our Corporate Mission, that is ‘To
Be A World-Class Organisation Achieving
