INCENTIVE 2014

As a CSR effort to encourage academic excellence in
community, Bina Puri Sport & Social Club rewarded 42
students who excelled in their examinations.
On 25th June 2014, the sport club’s advisor,
Y.Bhg Tan Sri Datuk Tee Hock Seng, JP presented
cash prizes totaling about RM19,000 to the recipients
in a ceremony held at Wisma Bina Puri, Selayang.
11 UPSR, 11 PMRs, 16 SPMs and 2 STPMs students
received their cash prizes this year. Meanwhile,
Mr. Samuel Tee Cheah Sing, Business Development
Officer and Encik Ramlan bin Sulaiman, Construction
Manager, both working at Bina Puri Sdn Bhd, were
also rewarded for their successful completion of their
studies in BA (Hons) In Business Management and
Executive Diploma in Construction Management
respectively.
Meanwhile, a separate education incentive
presentation ceremony was held on 25th August 2014
at Bina Puri Sabah Regional Office.

BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN

On 14th June 2014 which fell on a Saturday, KSSBP Sarawak
organised a Blood Donation Campaign in collaboration with
Timberland Medical Centre. The participants comprised of
Bina Puri’s staff and family members.

FOOD FAIR &
CHARITY SALE

On 17th August 2014, Bina Puri’s staffs in Sarawak,
through our active sport club was involved in the charity
sale organized by Pertubuhan Ibubapa Kanak-Kanak
Keperluan Istimewa Sarawak (PIBAKAT), held at
Christian Ecumenical Worship Centre. The event started
at 8.00 am and finished by noon. We managed to raise
funds by selling hotdogs, fruit juice, french fries, keropok
lekor and cupcakes. The funds collected were then
donated to the society for them to carry out their many
projects and activities. This event means a lot to us since
it helps PIBAKAT for their special care centre with a
purpose to make the parents who had to give up working
to take care of their children so that they can now
resume working again.

HARVEST
FESTIVAL
CELEBRATION

On 7th June 2014, the Harvest Festival
celebration was held at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah,
organized by KSSBP Sabah and Bina Puri
Sabah, attended by 150 staffs including
management and staff.
Many of the members enjoyed the programmes;
Unduk Ngadau (Beauty contest) where
participants were dressed in rich & colourful
costumes from various ethnic groups in Sabah,
Mipulos (Arm wrestling), Sugandoi (Singing
competition), Lucky draw and lastly the ‘butod’
(Sago worm)-eating challenge: Fear FactorYummy!
We hoped that this event would strengthen and
inspire cultural appreciation among Bina Puri
staff.

Our Mixed Double team, Faizah Wahid and Razid Suparman won the 3rd placing match,
Category Open Mixed Double in the MBAM 60th Anniversary Badminton Tournament held
on 11 October 2014.
Kelab Sukan Bina Puri sent 8 teams to participate in the tournament. One of the pairs was
Mr Matthew Tee and his mixed double partner, Mdm Ng Mee Fen, an ex-national player.
Other players includes, Syamsul Affendi Bin Nilam, Mohamad Shukur Bin Tarmizi, Zulfadzli
Bin Zulkifle, Zulhelmi Bin Md Noor, Mohd Syazwan Bin Danil, Mohd Shahrulizuan Bin
Roslan, Abdul Kadir Bin Hassim, Anuar Bin Ali, Yap Siew Wai, Illiyas Bin Mohamed Razali,

KSSBP arranged a 3D2N outing trip to
the ‘Land Below the Wind’ Kota Kinabalu,
Sabah from 26th to 28th September 2014.
The group of 12 participants had a full 3day program including Kota Kinabalu City
Tour to the State Mosque & Floating
Mosque, Poh Tou Temple, Atkinson Tower,
Tun Mustafa Building and of course to
Bina Puri Office and project sites.

On the second day, the participants had
more adventurous activities in Kundasang
at the Poring Hot Spring, trying the
Canopy Walkway and dipping into the
fresh cool water of the Kipungit Waterfall.
The final day continued with city tour to
Sabah Museum, Tanjung Aru, Centrepoint
and of course a shopping spree at the
Filipine Market. It was indeed a great
weekend outing. Thanks to our KK
KSSBP members for their warm welcome
and arrangement.

2D1N A’FAMOSA, MELAKA TRIP
Among the KSSBP who members
joined the trip for group 1
Group 1 at Cowboy Town
Other than to Kota Kinabalu for local
trips this year, KSSBP also organized
another local trip to the A’Famosa
Resort,
Melaka.
There
are
2 groups whereby the first group trip
was on 12-13 October 2014 and the
second one was on 9-10 November
2014.
The bus journey departed from
Wisma Bina Puri early in the morning
and upon arrival, the groups enjoyed a
wet day at the A-Famosa Water World,
beginning with a fun mini Telematch at
the Sand Area and later free own
activities until evening. After dinner
that night, the groups proceeded to
the Old West Cowboy Town and had
a spooky night-out with the Halloween
Fiesta in town! The next morning, the
groups spent time at the Animal World
Safari and after lunch departed to
Banda Hilir, Melaka for a short city
tour and shopping spree. After a
sumptuous Nyonya Style dinner (for
group 1) and Jawanese style dinner
(for group 2), the groups departed
home happily.

Sport Club Activities
KSSBP organised an overseas trip for 2014 to
Taiwan from 20-26 October. The tour covers
Taichung, Kaohsiung and Taipei with a total of 47
staff participants including spouses.

most famous Taoyuan, Daxi Blossom Oasis,
Nanzhuang Old Street ‐ Osmanthus Alley, Old

Local Product Center, Monster Village, Sun Link
Sea Forest Ecology Resort Park, Fo Guang
Shan, Mei Non Hakka Village, Chiayi and Long
Yun Holiday Farm.
The group also had as shopping spree at various
interesting places including the 101 Shopping
Mall‐Observatory, Jin‐Zuan Night Market or
Kaisyuan Night Market.

Pasukan Team A telah berjaya menjadi NAIB Juara bagi
kejohanan futsal anjuran Master Builder Association of
Malaysia (MBAM) pada 18 Oktober 2014 yang lalu. KSSBP
telah bertanding dalam Kejohanan Futsal MBAM 2014 yang
berlangsung di Fegio USJ 8, Subang Jaya dan telah diwakili
oleh 2 Kumpulan iaitu Team A dan Team B.
Team A Naib Juara daripada Kelab Sukan Bina Puri
Para pemain terdiri daripada staff HQ, projek LRT A & B, PGA
Muar dan lain-lain. Turut serta sebagai pemain adalah En
Matthew Tee, Pengarah Eksekutif Kumpulan yang mewakili
Team B.

Syabas dan tahniah kepada kedua-dua pasukan dari Bina
Puri !
Ini merupakan kali pertama Kelab Sukan Bina Puri menyertai
kejohanan futsal yang dianggap besar kerana ia turut disertai
oleh beberapa syarikat pembinaan ternama seperti UEM
Builder Berhad, WCT Berhad, MMC Gamuda KVMRT Sdn
Bhd, Mudajaya Corporation Berhad dan lain lain lagi.
