Transcription

In 1949, KIHACHIRO ONITSUKA created the first ASICS shoe in his living
room in Lobe, Japan, under name ONITSUKA TIGER.
Since then, ASICS has prided itself on building the finest high performance products for the serious
athlete. In 1977, the Onitsuka Co. Ltd. (Tiger as it was better known) became ASICS. The name, an
acronym, derives from ‘Anima Sana In Corpore Sano’ a Latin phrase expressing the ancient ideal
of ‘A sound mind in a sound body’. This concept is central to our role as a manufacturer of sporting
goods and researcher in the field of sports an fitness.
We continue to grow stronger as a global brand, and strengthen our leadership position in quality

High Arch
High arched feet leave an imprint showing a
narrow band connecting the forefoot and
heel. A curved, high-arched foot is generally
termed a supinated or underpronated foot.
Runners with high-arched feet should select
shoes in the under pronator to neutral
categories.
Normal Arch
A normal arch leaves an imprint that has a
flare but shows the forefoot and heel
connected by a wide band. A normal foot
lands on the outside. Runners with a normal
arch should select shoes in the neutral to over
pronator categories.
Flat Foot
Flat feet have a low arch and leave a nearly
complete inprint. There is little inward curve
where the arch should be. This usually indicates
an overpronated foot that strikes on the outside
of the heel and rolls inward excessively. Runners
with flat feet should select shoes in the over
pronator to sever over pronator categories.
Foot pronation is a normal, natural motion and helps attenuate shock at heel contact.

placed in the midsole of the

the Gel-unit contains a siliconeencapsulated in polyurethane.

added to the range. A lightweight image in the
