Impostrip Solo is a client-server or desktop imposition software
application that enables prepress and print professionals to image
more film and plates everyday, because of its innovative workflow
architecture. Impostrip Solo includes the Impostrip imposition client
and Signature Server, client-server architecture allows you to keep
massive prepress files on a central server, and not move them
across networks, saving valuable production time. Solo provides all
the features found in its sibling Impostrip, with the exception of CIP4,
PPF, JDF workflow, Full Plate for ganging (can be added as an option
to Solo). Solo is limited to ONE client Imposition workstation.

Solo provides a full real-time imposed signature preview, make
adjustments to the signature and see the changes live. Solo
supports plate concept - make adjustments to your press sheet or
pages while creating or editing an imposition template.
Solo supports your files and your workflow
Solo imposes PDF, PostScript, EPS and TIFF files. Solo also works
with any EPS replacement file workflow. Solo outputs PS and PDF
files. With over 150 PostScript filters, including QuarkXPress 6,
Adobe Acrobat 6, InDesign and Illustrator CS and many more, throw
almost any files at Impostrip; Macintosh, Windows and even UNIX.

Use Solo to print your imposed jobs to proofers, imagesetters,
platesetters. Solo can output imposed jobs to RIP hot folders as PS
or PDF files, or print to any PostScript device via Appletalk and IP
printing. Solo supports PPDs, making printing easier, more accurate.
Solo supports commercial sheetfed and high volume web, even up
to 6 webs on screen at once.
Macintosh OS 9, OS X and Windows 2000 & XP
Solo allows you to use the equipment you already have in your
shop, it easily integrates into your existing hardware workflow, Mac
windows or even a mix of both. Solo supports Mac imposition clients
and Windows Signature servers - or choose your preferred set-up,
either way Impostrip Solo works with what you’ve got in your shop!
Easy template making with standard or custom marks
Use predefined templates bundled with Solo or use Origami to create
new imposition templates. Origami is a virtual paper folding tool
built-into Solo. Origami allows you to fold your press sheet on screen,
automatically keep pages in the proper imposed order and orientation
and automatically add fold marks - once complete, add your own
crop marks, and color bars to your templates. Unlike competing
solutions, Solo allows you to make, modify and save templates and
re-use them for other jobs, saving valuable production time. Add
standard bundled marks with Solo or add your own custom marks
where needed on your templates.

with Solo’s ease-of-use, you may quickly build new templates based
on your specific job needs. Are you tired of recreating the same
imposition template over and over for similar jobs? Save time with
Solo. Create a Hot Folder workflow in Solo to automate the process
of Imposition. Drag and drop files into an active hot folder associated
to your preferred imposition template and Solo will automatically
impose the files and send the imposed file to the RIP when
complete. Solo automation helps speed your workflow: • Automated
numbering and renumbering of pages • Automated plate geometry
• Automated tiling to use larger plates with smallet CTF device •
