Please make sure that your child is prepared for whatever the outside recess might bring!! Station We have been doing lots of things at Work Stations... Snowman Write the Room, Gingerbread Numbers: guess to find the fox, Writing. Winter Sentences, Tablet: story listening & starfall, ABC Dominos, File Folder: learning games, Read To Self, Word Box Writing: building and writing with magnetic letters Kindergarten Learning Writing Workshop During writing we have been working on the following: Self-help strategies. They are to write and illustrate for at least 20 minutes to build writing stamina We have been making pattern books and they are doing an excellent job. I have kept their books at school for the class to read. They will be coming home soon. Guided Reading Please continue to do the nightly reading with your child. This is so important. Remember to sign the reading log. I can see so much growth when children read each night. Thanks for helping your child return their book bags when they bring them home. I am encouraging students to get a feel for this program in computer lab and blah they are working to memorize their passwords. I noticed many are doing Raz Kids at home. KUDOS! To the parents that have been supporting this. In our Housekeeping Area we have created a Hospital. We are talking about ways to be healthy this month. The children are having fun there as they role model being doctors, patients and nurses. If you can donate any bandaides to help the boo boos, that would be great!
