Blah, blah, blah. If you are dealing with depression during the holidays that is how all the Christmas hype can sound. Just a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal or blah, blah, blah. The blahs get nosier if you need help and cannot afford it. I am so thankful to be part of a church that has been supporting the dream – which is now a reality – of COMPASSION COUNSELING CENTER. I hope you read the article in the Maryville Daily Times and have visited the center’s website at www.compassion-counseling.com. Greta Smith, Suzanne Stratton, and Rev. Brenda Carroll had a vision nearly five years ago of a counseling center for anyone – whether he or she could afford to pay or not. The ribbon-cutting will have happened by the time you read this! There are two group sessions being offered soon (Details on next page). Please let folks know about them – or perhaps, you would benefit from them yourself!
