The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of the new Warrensburg facility was
held on Saturday, September 20th. Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce, City
Council Members and City Staff were there to join us, as were approximately
300 members. The Clinton Chamber of Commerce honored us with another
Ribbon Cutting on Tuesday, October 28th prior to a CMCCU Board
meeting. MCUA President, Don Cohenour and Missouri Senator, David
Pearce joined us for this event.

CMCCU in the Community
Richmond employees collected donations and school supplies for Missouri Valley Community Action Agency; collected stuffed animals for Ray County Emergency Services and Ray
County Hospital; sold Scentsy products and held drawings for wreaths to raise funds for the
House of Hope.
Sedalia employees held several drawings for themed gift baskets and wreaths, raising over
$943.00 for school supplies benefiting CACTUS. In October, they held their 4th Annual
Trunk or Treat. Sedalia was also recognized by the Show Me Hero’s Program for having
hired staff who previously served proudly in the United States Military. They wrapped up
the year with a bake sale and other fundraisers, making over $700, to provide Christmas for
a local family in need.
Warrensburg employees chose Johnson County Cares as their primary community program
this year which allowed them to support a variety of groups by serving meals and other work
at different events and times in addition to collecting donations in the lobby. A check for
$1,000 was presented to Johnson County Cares at the Warrensburg Grand Opening. They
hosted a Paw Crawl for Animal Response and Rescue Missouri with a kids carnival; sponsored a variety of Fundraiser Walks and participated in an ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’ to raise
money for ALS (“Lou Gehrig’s Disease,”)
