Have you heard about the “Lucky 9” Scrambles?!
The next one is scheduled for Tuesday, June 14th. Registration at 5:30, play at 6:00
Cost- $5 with a 100% payback
The winners on May 23rd were, Kathy Nichols, and Colby Garret. There is a rumer
that Kathy had to drag Colby around the course as she was playing very well ; ) We
all had a blast! If your wife doesn’t play golf she is more than welcome to come and
enjoy the round with a cold drink.

Have you met, Jerminic Knauls?!
Jerminic is our new on-call Licensed Massage Therapist. He is certified from
Fort Smith Wellness School of Massage Therapy, Austin School of Massage
Therapy (300 hours of Swedish Massage) and Petra Allied Health CNA
Licensure. He can set up anywhere on the facility, just give him a call!

The “Designated Driver” couples tournament
was held on Saturday, May 21st. Winners of
the first flight were LaDonna Frost and Dalton
Frost. Second place, first flight: Joe Fred and
Catherine Young. Winners of the second flight
were: Jim and LaVonne Hayes. Second place,
second flight: James and Cheryl Gillespie.

Say Hello to our new Superintendent,
MGA NEWS
Tim Belcher!
Tim has 30 years of golf course experience,
10 of which were completed at Hardscrabble
Country Club.
In the early spring as I drive up Jenny Lind I always glance
towards the 18th fairway to see if the fairways are green. And I
get a smile on my face every time I see that beautiful green
fairway comes to life after a long winter. We hope you will join
us for our next outing. More information to follow.
We are very excited to welcome him onboard
and look forward to a great golfing season.
We had another fantastic day for golf last month with a clear blue
sky and moderate temperatures. There were 9 teams and we
awarded prizes to the top 4. The results were:

format. We'll see you for breakfast at 8 AM.
FHLGA NEWS
The PIRATES AND PEARLS two-lady scramble May 10-12 was a
huge success. We had a full field of 36 teams, and the weather
was perfect. J.T. did a fabulous job for us providing continental
breakfasts for two days, a wonderful sit-down dinner on
Wednesday night, and a delicious potato bar for lunch on
Thursday. All participants commented on the decorations and
on the well-organized and well-run tournament. All FHLGA
ladies worked together to make this tournament a big hit for
everyone. A special thanks goes to Catherine Young who was
tournament chairman and who always delivers a top notch
event.
Fianna Hills Ladies who were winners are as follows:

FOURTH FLIGHT – Judy Jackson & Eileen Camet– Third Place

lady golfers will join our league and be a part of a fun group!

June in the Bar
Summer is on it’s way and we have some hot entertainment in the bar.
Starting on Thursday, June 2nd, one of the best and most versatile, one man
shows anywhere, Mr. Robert Kelsey. Robert has always been a crowd favorite
at Fianna Hills Country Club and always puts on a great show.
Then, on the 9th, we welcome back “The Rain Kings” with special guest, Rick
Young, from Mr. Cabbage Head and the Screaming Radishes! These guys
provide some of the best entertainment you’ll see anywhere.
June 16th, back by popular demand, Tom Ware and Lacey Thomas! When these
two get together it makes for an unforgettable night of fun and entertainment.
This is a can’t miss show!
On the 23rd, once again, the former #1 recording artist, Debbie Horn. Debbie is
an amazing entertainer, playing hits from the 50’, 60’, and 70s, including her
1963 #1 song “My Boyfriend’s Back.” It will be a great time!
Closing out the month on the 30th will be Ronak Mistry. It’s another Thursday
you don’t want to miss!
Please try to make reservations for any of these events. I’d like to thank
everyone for supporting live local music and making Thursday nights such a
huge success, THANK YOU!

From the Desk of, Gary Carmack:
Dear members,
I’m starting on a sad note. Jon (Jon Boy) Obermark is leaving the Club. He is going to pursue a career with US
Lawns. We all wish him well. On a higher note, we have hired a new superintendent. Tim Belcher will be
joining our family June the 1st. Tim has been in the business for over 30 years with the last 10 years being at
Hardscrabble. Please give him a warm welcome when you see him on the course (see picture on page 4). Jay
will still stay on for a while during Tim’s transition period so he can show him the ropes and where everything
is.
We are having another wet May like last year. So far we haven’t had any serious problems on the course other
than having to be on “Cart Path Only”.
The pool should be open by the time you read this. We are going to try a few extra things this season to make
things fun for all ages. I want to give a big “Thank You” to all the people that have helped us with pool and
around the Club. Special “Thanks” to Judy Lewis for lending her talents of the artwork on the Cabana, along
with Lisa Clay and her special touch to the Cabana changing rooms. We appreciate all you do!
A reminder, if you see a new face on the course or in the Clubhouse, they are probably new members. Be sure
and welcome them to our family. We still need members. Let your friends and neighbors know the things that
are going on up here and get them to Megan. You will be rewarded.
We have a lot going on this month, so be sure to think ahead and make reservations for the events you want to
attend. Events to keep in mind this month, are: The Fianna Ball, Kids Camp, and Father’s Day Brunch,. On the 1st
of July we will be celebrating the 4th with a Firework show, BBQ, and entertainment! We hope to see you here!
