Sometimes you want to fly fast with some style, and what is better than a real Mustag racer, i also wanted a cool
prop sound on a plane like this, you can hardly imagine this is electric when you hear that prop cut the air.
I have had a my eyes on this model for a long time, and i have always wanted to convert one and give this baby
some REAL power and speed, regarding that, how can TWM even recomend the use of a 4 stroke glow engine in
this RACER !?!? if you dont want to use an electric setup, alteals put in a high rev 2 stroke like Rossi or O.S. !!!
Straight forward build and construction, part included holds high standard, but as always with ARF models, have a
closer look at the pearts and the glue amount in the joints. I personaly like TWM ARF planes and the included
manual options and parts.
With a 7,3” prop, the blade are exposed 26% from the spinner/ fuse, rule of thumb is atleast 30%, so i will just have
to test and see how it works in the air, on ground its stalled and wont give much thrust. I will start with a 5s setup at
2,3kw of power, but might go up in prop size for better efficiency, that would make the power go up to 3,5-4kw, same
as on 6s and the 7,3” prop.

Maiden flight done, quite interesting to start from the ground w ith a prop that just stalls if
youre going to slow ;) it takes time before it ”bites” the air and starts to generate some
pull, but w hen it doas.... it REALY bites the air and pulls the plane aw ay.... fast :)
Wow ... w hat a coold prop sound ! second flight i used the 8,7x8,7” prop, w ith the top RPM
the blade tip speed is 1000kmh and that makes some cool and loud prop sound, pitch
speed is 320kmh and Amp draw is 175A static and 140-150 in the air.
I have not recorded any speed yet, but me and my friend guess its approx + - 200kmh, it
sure ”feels” much faster w hen you fly it, w ith the sound, its size and looks.
The plane also flyes very w ell, SPOT ON, it tracks like and arrow , and its very cool to
perform some high speed aerobatics. Its kind of fast w hen you land it, so you need some
space for it to float out, but it has no real bad habbits w hen you fly it ”slow ” so if you are
used to fast planes like EDFs and such, this is no big deal.

I have now had a few flights w ith this bird, and its still alot of fun ;)
Recorded data can tell that top speed is up to 210kmh, and i drain a 5500mAh pack in under 4min, still the speed
controller is 60C celsius at max and the motor about the same.
I have also tested a 1 blade prop of 8,5x9” that pulled about 125A w ith 26,000rpm, so higher RPM less Amp
draw , but the thrust w as to low to pull the Mustang, and w ould not allow the prop to fly at the speed it w ants
to.
