GA Journey is an optional plan to help girls
in grades 1–6 personalize and reinforce the
missions concepts they learn during regular
GA sessions.
How GA Journey
Works
GA Journey is divid

• I Am a GA
• I Do Missions
• I Give
• I Help Missiona

To complete one level of GA Journey, a GA must complete one
activity from each growth area—a total of eight activities a year. Girls may work on
GA Journey during the fourth GA session of every month, at home, while taking part in a special GA
Journey event, or at any other time and place during the year.
GA leaders are responsible for guiding girls through GA Journey. Each girl can work with her leaders to
select her eight activities from those suggested in the GA Journey Leader Guide. Although GAs may work
together on some activities, each GA must record her personal growth and reflections in her grade-level
GA Journey activity book.
GA Journey Leader Guide
With more than 100 pages of resources, the GA Journey Leader Guide is the essential guidebook for GA
leaders seeking to lead girls in grades 1–6 through the individual achievement plan. The guide includes
144 suggested activities, useful forms, award information, “How to Lead GA Journey,” and more.

GA Journeys 1–6
The six GA Journey activity books are customized to the appropriate developmental level of girls—from first
grade through sixth grade. Each book encourages spiritual development and allows GAs to complete the
requirements for every activity. Each book thus becomes a girl’s personal history of her missional growth.

GA Journey Badges
Each girl’s accomplishments during the GA Journey are worthy of recognition. That’s why WMU® has
created GA Journey badges.
Each of these iron-on badges corresponds with one area of the GA Journey. A first-grader can earn up to
eight badges, representing her work in each growth area. She can also earn up to eight first-grade stars for
completing GA Journey activities throughout the year.
In second grade, this GA can add eight second-grade
stars—one near each GA Journey growth area. Girls
can continue in this way through sixth grade.
