Rola Roof Racks 5 Year Warranty Vehicle Compatibility Guide This Fit Kit is compatible with the following vehicles. VFSO63 Revision D Rack System: (“Rola Roof Rack”). The Rola Roof Rack incorporates three components: Make Model End Supports Ford Falcon 4D Sedan AU 08/99-09/02 Fit Kit Ford Falcon 4D Sedan BA 10/02-09/05 Cross Bars Ford Falcon 4D Sedan BF 10/05-04/08 Ford Falcon 5D wagon AU 08/99-09/02 Ford Falcon 5D wagon BA 10/02-09/05 Ford Falcon 5D wagon BF 10/05-04/08 Cequent warrants that, subject to the exclusions and limitations below, the Rola Roof Rack will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 5 years commencing on the date of sale by the authorised Rola stockist to the original purchaser of the entire Rola Roof Rack, including the End Support, Fit Kit and Cross Bars. Year If a defect appears in the Rola Roof Rack before the end of the warranty period and Cequent finds the Rola Roof Rack to be defective in materials or workmanship, Cequent will, in its sole discretion, either: 1. Repair the Rola Roof Rack or the defective component of the Rola Roof Rack free of charge; 2. Replace the Rola Roof Rack or the defective component of the Rola Roof Rack; or 3. Refund the purchase price of the Rola Roof Rack to the original purchaser. Cequent reserves the right to change the design, specifications or composition of the Rola Roof Rack without notice and without liability. VEHICLE COMPATIBILITY & WARRANTY Cequent reserves the right to replace defective products or components with products or components of similar quality, grade and composition, where an identical product or component is not available. Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods. The 5 year warranty only applies where the entire Rola Roof Rack is purchased in one transaction and is installed and used together. The 5 year warranty does not apply where: 1. The Rola Roof Rack is not installed in compliance with the fitting instructions provided; 2. The Rola Roof Rack is not used as intended or designed; 3. Any part of the Rola Roof Rack, such as the End Supports, Fit Kits, or Cross Bars, is used with other products or components notintended to be used in conjunction with the modular Rola Roof Rack system; 4. The Rola Roof Rack has been on-sold or assigned by the original purchaser; 5. The Rola Roof Rack has been modified or repaired by someone other than Cequent or an authorised Rola stockist; 6. Cequent cannot establish any fault in the Rola Roof Rack after testing; 7. The Rola Roof Rack has been subject to abnormal conditions, including fire, water, humidity, pressure, stress or similar; 8. The defect in the Rola Roof Rack has arisen due to abuse, misuse, neglect or accident; 9. The defect in the Rola Roof Rack has arisen due to the unlawful or unusual operation of the vehicle to which it is fitted; 10. The defect in the Rola Roof Rack has arisen due to the purchaser’s failure to properly assemble, install, fit, maintain or use the Rola Roof Rack in accordance with the specifications and instructions provided by Cequent. This warranty does not extend to fair wear and tear. Warranty claims can be made by contacting Cequent directly using the details below. A warranty claim must be accompanied by proof of purchase (such as receipt) and details of the alleged defect. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to arrange and pay for any warranty claims, including the shipment of goods to Cequent for inspection. The purchaser may seek reimbursement from Cequent for the costs of such activities, providing Cequent notifies the purchaser in writing that a warranty claim is justified. Any such claims must be made in writing via post or email. The benefits of this warranty are in addition to any rights and remedies imposed by Australian State and Federal legislation that cannot be excluded. Nothing in this warranty is to be interpreted as excluding, restricting or modifying any State or Federal legislation applicable to the supply of goods and services which cannot be so excluded, restricted or modified. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Cequent makes no express warranties or representations other than set out in this warranty. The repair or replacement of Rola Roof Racks or part there of, or a refund of the purchase price of the Rola Roof Rack, is the absolute limit of Cequent’s liability under this express warranty. Open all the doors and mark the distance indicated in the “End Support Distance from Mid Pillar,” inside the vehicle door return with felt pen. This will be the centre of the bottom strap. Strap Bolt Position Upper Strap Upper weather seal Before replacing lower weather seal apply silicon inside seal 3. Before replacing lower weather seal, apply 60mm of silicon inside the lip of the seal and press together Replace the lower weather seal (hold lower strap while doing this.) use a damp rag to remove any excess silicon. Repeat on all four straps. Please note once strap is in place DO NOT REMOVE. 4. Hook the upper strap on the already mounted lower strap. Measure the distance between end supports on the underside of the bar. Slide the end supports until the distance between them is correct and the cross bar is centred. Lock the bars in place using the locking lever and proceed to the next step. The numbers shown to the left correspond to the correct location of the feet pads. The numbers are moluded in the underside of each part. The numbers shown above in the vehicle table correspond to the correct adaptor block to be inserted in the foot pad (if required) Refer to step 1 of the fitting instructions for more information. Distances for setting out your racks are defined from the mid pillar of the vehicle. Both forward and rearward measurements are given to the centre of the straps. Take care to set your racks out as shown to ensure your racks fit and perform as they have been design to. Refer to the vehicle specific image and follow the instructions for correct installation position. Pull the lower weather seal away from the vehicle to reveal the bottom flange on the vehicle. Below the mark made in step 1 apply silicon 30mm from either side of the mark. (This should leave approximately 15mm of silicon visible on either side of the Lower strap when fitted) Place the lower strap on the lower flange as shown.
