The Fort Findlay Playhouse will present The Silver
Whistle by Robert McEnroe August 16-19 and 23-25.
The Silver Whistle follows Wilfred Tasbinder, a
romantically minded tramp, who finds a birth certificate for Oliver Erwenter,
indicating that its owner is 77 years old. Wilfred decides to impersonate Erwenter
and enter a home for the aged. Erwenter rejuvenates the lives of the residents in
many ways and helps the home’s director, Miss Tripp, discover the true meaning
of passion. All goes well until Wilfred’s tramp companion, Emmett, appears on the
scene, causing havoc for all involved.
Auditions will be held Sunday and Monday, June 24 and 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the

Northwest Regional OCTAFest
June 8 - 10
It is that fun time of year again where we showcase the best
theatre in the Northwest (and in the state!). Come join us for
a fun-filled weekend of theatre and friendship.
This year’s regional will be held at The Bellevue Society for
the Arts (205 Maple Street, Bellevue Ohio - one block behind
the Wendy’s on Main Street).
The weekend will include many excerpts from theaters across
the Northwest Region. We are looking at the possibility of 15
excerpts this year, so come see some wonderful productions
and maybe get some ideas for your home theatre’s next
season.
The weekend will start on Saturday morning with
announcements and then excerpts starting at 9:00 a.m. The
delegates’ meeting will be held at lunch on Saturday - make
sure your theatre is represented. We will be electing new
regional reps at this time as well. The weekend will continue
on Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. with even more great
theatre. Come for one day or the whole weekend! You are
sure to enjoy some great talent from the area and meet some
new friends along the way.
In order to be a board member, you must have attended
three meetings (board or general), worked on a show in some
capacity (ushering does not count), or been a chair/co-chair
of a permanent committee.
The elected board members will join Georgia Durain, Tara
Laciano, Pete Rose, Samantha Henry, Alicia Creger, and
Patrick Davis.
If you wish to put your name on the ballot or you have
questions, contact nominating committee chair Pete Rose
([email protected]).
