The historic Centaur Theatre will again be the site of the Symposium, including presentations, broadcasting of live cases and lunches. This handsome Beaux-Arts building, built in 1903,
sits in the heart of Old Montreal on Saint-François-Xavier Street, footsteps away from Place
d’Armes square and Notre-Dame Basilica.
This year the Friday night gala dinner is taking place at La Gare Dalhousie, located on
Berri Street just 8 blocks east of the Centaur. Also part of Old Montreal, the Dalhousie station was
the original departure point of the famous Transcanada Railway when the line was opened in
1886. A sumptuous evening with entertainment is planned.
For accommodations, arrangements have been made with select boutique hotels in Old
Montreal. Symposium participants can enjoy excellent service and preferential rates, within easy
walking distance of the Centaur Theatre and the Dalhousie station.

[ Dear C o l l e a g u e s ]
Now in its 19th year, the annual Interventional Cardiology Symposium invites you to Montréal for a dynamic meeting on the
latest developments in the field, led by a roster of top cardiologists from North America, Europe and Asia. Our program also
includes an impressive selection of live cases, broadcast directly from the Montreal Heart Institute, the Royal Jubilee Hospital
in Victoria, British Columbia and the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Satellite symposia along with
Academic and Industry Buzz, presented by academics plus pharmaceutical and biomedical professionals from North America
and around the globe, round out a full three-day schedule.
On June 19, as a special part of our program, we are also proud to include the 1 Annual Cardiac Imaging Symposium. Organized by co-directors Matthias Friedrich of the Stephenson CMR Centre at the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta, Anita
Asgar and Josephine Pressacco of the Montreal Heart Institute, and Winfried Willinek of the University of Bonn, this cutting
edge event will feature a full day of presentations covering the most recent updates and innovations in this exciting field.
