Cloudburst
Since being taken in by wealthy Mrs. Jordan March and
living in her exquisite home like a daughter, Sasha Porter’s
traumatic past—destitute on the streets, and the
shattering accident that killed her mother—seems like a
fading nightmare. Beautiful and sophisticated, as bold and
daring as her “sister,” Kiera March, Sasha still keeps her
mother’s wise words close to her heart: never fully trust
anyone. Inside her privileged new world, it’s advice that
will prove more precious than gold. Against the wishes of
Jordan’s husband, Donald, Sasha attracts the attention of
Duane Banks, a shy, handsome athlete, and maneuvers
her way into his heart. But Duane’s hidden torment soon
explodes in a horrific tragedy that pulls Sasha into a flood
of guilt and despair. And when someone she thought she
could trust targets her vulnerability, Sasha recalls her
mother’s warnings—and a violent storm of dark
deceptions and shocking family secrets is unleashed. Will
she sink or swim?

Only Time Will Tell
The epic tale of Harry Clifton’s life begins in 1920, with the
words “I was told that my father was killed in the war.” A
dock worker in Bristol, Harry never knew his father and
expects to continue on at the shipyard, until a remarkable
gift wins him a scholarship to an exclusive boys’ school,
and his life will never be the same again. As Harry enters
into adulthood, he finally learns how his father really died,
but the awful truth only leads him to question: Was he
even his father? Is he the son of Arthur Clifton, a
stevedore, or the firstborn son of a scion of West Country
society, whose family owns a shipping line? From the
ravages of the Great War and the docks of working-class
England to the streets of 1940 New York City and the
outbreak of the Second World War, this is a powerful
journey that will bring to life one hundred years of history
to reveal a family story that neither the reader nor Harry
Clifton himself could ever have imagined.

because Andie’s dreams have been haunted by
North since she arrived at the old house. And that’s
not the only haunting. Then her ex-brother-in-law

jealous fiancé. Just when Andie’s sure things couldn’t
get more complicated, North arrives to make her

differently.

blood brothers are fighting for survival, hoping for justice,
and fighting this war to win or die.

Half-Cheyenne and half-white Yakima Henry won't
tolerate incivility toward a lady, especially comely

Blood of Eagles
The Oklahoma Panhandle is one hundred miles of
lawlessness and danger: a no man's land designed to
separate Texas from pro-Union Kansas. Through this
desolate strip rides legendary gunslinger Falcon
MacCallister, a young Indian boy by his side. Behind him
lies a scene of horror left by outlaws who'd ambushed a
small wagon train. As he searches the Panhandle for the
killers, Falcon enters a storm of greed, thievery, and
betrayal that has its roots in two long, gleaming bands of
steel. A new railway is penetrating this hostile land making some people rich, some people dead, and sending
a gunfighter and a boy on their own brutal ride to
revenge.
Ross, Dana Ruller
California!
Gold fever. It swept the country from coast to coast,
luring more than a hundred thousand seekers to the
untamed territory of California. For them, the Gold
Rush of 1848 represented the American Dream come
true. But for the settlers who lived there, it was an all
-out assault on the homes they'd struggled so hard
to build. Now boomtowns arise overnight, teeming
with outlaws, killers, and desperate men. In
Sacramento Valley, former Texas Ranger Rick Miller
struggles to keep the peace with nothing more than
a six shooter and guts. Melissa Austen, who survived
the Oregon Trail, is forced into a life of prostitution.
And wagon master Whip Holt must battle the odds
to save her - and stem the tide of bloodshed and
greed. For these brave homesteaders, freedom is the
real golden opportunity - and America the only
dream worth fighting for...

Massacre at Powder River
The year is 1884. A 10-year-old British boy has come to
visit his uncle's Wyoming spread, just as the vicious Yellow
Kerchief Gang has the ranch under siege. Outgunned and
outmatched, a British rancher is willing to pay $5000 for
help. That is more than enough money to bring Matt
Jenson into the fray. A huge, bloody gunfight, fuelled by
betrayal, erupts at the Powder River. But Matt has to
shoot carefully. The Yellow Kerchief Gang has a hostage the British lad named Winnie. And Matt has history on his
hands, because Winnie Churchill must survive. Fifty years
later Winston Churchill will fight a war of his own carrying a Matt Jenson.44 shell in his pocket and a
gunfighter's spirit in his soul.

Revenge at Hatchet Creek
Half-white, half-Indian Yakima Henry has been ambushed
and badly injured. Bleeding to death, he doesn't know
who'll get to him first: the gunslingers or hungry wolves.
Thankfully, comely widow Aubrey Coffin comes along and
drags Yakima to safety.

Montana!
In the fateful years following the Civil War, a
shattered nation comes together to rebuild the
dream that first lured them westward - the dream of
freedom. Across the snowy mountains and grassy
plains, America's best and bravest seek out their
fortunes in a land too large and too wild to be tamed
by one generation. Toby Holt, son of the legendary
wagonmaster Whip Holt, courageously accepts a
presidential mandate to extend the Northwest Railroad
across the hazardous Montana Territory. But Sioux war
drums beat a fearsome warning to stay off their land while the bloodthirsty Hastings gang launch their own
wave of terror. At stake are the lives of Holt and his
team, as well as his new bride Clarissa and his first love
Beth. At risk is the future of America itself - divided by
war, driven by ambition, and forged in the blazing steel
rails that would bring this great nation together...

Nevada!
Virginia City, 1861. As thousands of fortune-seekers
descend on the silver-rich boomtown hoping to cash in
on the Comstock Lode, a very different cause unites the
ranks of courageous soldiers in the coming Civil War the supreme battle for America's future. Major General
Lee Blake is assigned the treacherous task of
transporting silver to the Union troops in Missouri while enemies plot to sabotage his mission. By his side
are some of the bravest men and women Blake has ever
known: wagon-master Whip Holt, Holt's quick-tempered
son Toby, sharp-shooting newswoman Suzanne Fulton,
and English widow Allison White, who may be forced
into espionage. With states seceding one by one, and
tensions rising everyday, the fate of a nation is riding on
their journey. But there are those who will stop at
nothing to keep the 'silver train' from reaching its
destination. And there are those who will sacrifice up
everything - even their lives - for the golden promise of
America...

Oregon!
They are the first wagon train to cross the American
continent - and forge the Oregon Trail. Five-hundred
courageous men, women and children, led by mountain
man Whip Holt, they have survived the Rocky Mountain
winter, fierce native attacks, and countless other
hardships. Now, on the last leg of their journey, they
face their greatest challenge yet. Three mighty nations
have sent explorers to stake their claims - the English
army, Russian agents, and American pioneers - but only
one can win. Devoted to the dream of a new home,
Whip Holt finds himself divided by two women: his wife,
who is courted by both the English and the Russians,
and Cathy van Ayl Blake, who is married to an American
commander. Together, these would-be settlers must
fight for what they believe in, or die for what they love in the name of freedom, justice, and destiny. This is their
27
story - the birth of America...

fighting for its life. Rallying to the cause of liberty,
the brave pioneers who forged the Oregon Trail
are called upon to lead a new wagon train into the
fray. Leaving their homes in the thriving Oregon
Territory, they face impossible odds on the wild
Texas frontier, overrun with dangerous outlaws,
native tribes, and the powerful Mexican Army.
Among the freedom fighters are veteran
commander Lee Blake and his wife Kathy, boat
builder Harry Canning, and the fearless volunteers
who would risk their lives as Texas Rangers. Their
new leader, Captain Rick Miller, holds the destiny
of Texas in his hands. But in his heart, he hides a
passion for a woman he cannot have - and a
dream he cannot surrender. This is the fight for
Texas, in all its grit, glory, and grandeur. This is
America at its best...

Washington!
The Civil War is over. North and South, battleweary soldiers are returning home. But wounded
veteran Toby Holt, son of legendary wagonmaster Whip Holt, is riding west to claim a
homestead on the Washington timberland - and
reunite with a wife he barely knows. Here, amid
the towering trees and untamed forests, they join
other brave pioneers including General Lee
Blake's daughter Beth, Holt's trusted partner Rob
Martin, and a cargo of brides for the lonely
mountaineers. Commissioned to build the first
transcontinental railroad - from Washington to
Montana and beyond - Holt and his men are
prepared to lay down the tracks to America's
future. But their struggle proves to be harder than
the land itself. Between rocky peaks and ruthless
profiteers, it will take guts, grit, and fierce
courage to unite this great nation once and for
all...from sea to shining sea.
Ross, Dana Fuller
Wyoming!
1838. The first wagon train to Oregon country
moves slowly across the Great Plains, reaching the
foothills of the Rocky Mountains in early autumn.
Led by wagon scout 'Whip' Holt, the five-hundred-strong
community of courageous men, women, and children
prepare for the bitter winter ahead. Among them are
dreamers and drifters, foreigners and natives, friends and
enemies. But it is a pair of strong-willed women who are
Whip's most unexpected allies: the outspoken Cathy van
Ayl, widowed and alone at twenty-four, and the beautiful
half-Arapaho, half-Cherokee La-ena, who was once Whip's
mistress. Before these brave pioneers lie endless miles of
hardship and danger, treachery and death. Beneath their
struggle for survival lie hidden rivalries, unspoken secrets,
and burning jealousies that threaten to consume them all.
But in their hearts beats the dream of a new beginning in
a promised land - the unstoppable dream of America
itself.

Eclipse (A Novel of Lewis and Clark)

young republic, and the pride of Thomas Jefferson
because they made his dream of a nation between two
oceans come true. Lewis and Clark: two great but very
different men. Plain-spoken William Clark, enjoys the
triumphs and acclaim of the expedition, marries his
childhood sweetheart, and settles in St. Louis as
superintendent of the nation's Indian affairs. His black

and question the society that condoned it.
Meriwether Lewis, a man of fierce courage and
brilliant intellect, returns from the Pacific a changed
man. Something terrible has happened to him,
something insidious, a disease with no name that
erodes his health, threatens to destroy his mind—

rendered voices of the two greatest American

Our Boys: A Perfect Season on the Plains with the
Smith Center Redmen
The football team in Smith Center, Kansas,
holders of the nation’s longest high-school
winning streak, embrace a philosophy of life
taught by their legendary coach, Roger Barta:
“Respect each other, then learn to love each
other and together we are champions.” But as the
Redmen embarked on a quest for a fifth
consecutive state title, they faced a potentially
destabilizing transition: the greatest senior class
in school history had graduated, and Coach Barta
was contemplating retirement. In Smith Center—
population: 1,931—this changing of the guard was
seismic. Hours removed from the nearest city, the
town revolves around “our boys” in a way that
goes to the heart of what America’s heartland is
today. New York Times sportswriter Joe Drape
moved his family to Smith Center to discover
what makes the team and the town an inspiration
for miles around. And in a new afterword, Drape
returns to Smith Center to chronicle even greater
challenges as the streak enters its sixth year.
Autobiography
Drummond, Ree
The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels
That’s when I saw him—the cowboy—across the smoky
room. I’ll never forget that night. It was like a romance
novel, an old Broadway musical, and a John Wayne
Western rolled into one. Out for a quick drink with
friends, I wasn’t looking to meet anyone, let alone a tall,
rugged cowboy who lived on a cattle ranch miles away
from my cultured, corporate hometown. But before I
knew it, I’d been struck with a lightning bolt and I was
completely powerless to stop it. This isn’t just my love
story; it’s a universal tale of passion, romance, and allencompassing love that sweeps us off our feet. It’s the
story of a cowboy. And Wranglers. And chaps. And the
girl who fell in love with them.
