Safety
Safety is a core value at Fairbanks Morse. Please help by adhering to the following safety rules:
• Anyone entering the production floor (manufacturing, kitting, maintenance building, or other shop work areas) will need to wear long pants, steel toe
shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs (if required). The exception will be during shift change where shorts, closed toe, closed heel shoes may be worn
in and out of the plant only.
• When an overhead crane is in use, pedestrians should avoid the area or at minimum stay 20-25 feet away from the load.
• Hearing protection is required in all of Large Engine and OP Freeport Bay Engine Test areas.
• Loose shirts or long shirttails must be tucked in pants.
• Long sleeves must be secured with no more than 3” of slack.
• No hoodies are allowed around rotating equipment. Jackets are acceptable but must be zippered or buttoned, and strings removed or tucked in.
• Hair and beards longer than 4” must be secured and tucked in.
• All jewelry with the exception of stud earrings and tucked in medical alert necklaces are not permitted.
• All visitors must wear the appropriate PPE required in the building unless approved in advance.
