CHAIRMANSHIP OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA OF THE ADRIATIC AND IONIAN INITIATIVE JUNE 2014 – MAY 2015 ROUND TABLE: INTERUNIVERSITY COOPERATION BETWEEN THE BALKANS AND EUROPE FOR THE ADRIATIC-IONIAN MACRO-REGION SARAJEVO, May 7-8, 2015 promotes cooperation among universities and research centres mainly through the implementation of didactic initiatives (training and post-graduate courses, research projects…) is a “network of universities” established with the purpose to create a permanent connection among universities and research centres in the Adriatic-Ionian region was born within the framework of the AdriaticIonian Initiative in year 2000 UNIADRION The Political Framework • 2000 Adriatic-Ionian Initiative (8 countries Central Governments) Origin of UNIADRION and two other Fora (Cities & Chambers of Commerce) • 2008 A.I.I.
