In operation, bars are loaded into a
magazine whose side plates are easily adjusted to part length by a convenient had
wheel. Diameter adjustments are also made
quickly.
Cycle time is adjusted by a variable speed
drive on the front mounted conveyor.
A constant mechanical agitator maintains
a steady flow of parts to the escapement
fingers. As a part leaves the lower end of
the magazine, a switch is tripped and another part is automatically released either to
a front end conveyor for continuous end-toend feeding, or to a set of rails for diameterto-diameter feeding.
