THE NINTH ANNUAL EVENT – 2014 ∆e c i s s a l C a t o Dak Lot 130 Lot 101 Lot 136 Lot 2 o t e m o c l e W The Sale Sioux Falls Regional Livestock Sioux Falls, South Dakota - 12:30 p.m. (CST) SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 1ST Video previews online at www.ccollinsinc.com ∆e largest and most powerful offering ever from some of the most historic and reputable outfits in the country! 2 Lot 1 – Vanhove X071 Welcome... The operations in east central South Dakota and Iowa that make up this annual event are some of the most historic and productive club calf producing herds in the country. These working outfits know the value and importance of an easy-keeping, maternal-influenced cow that can lay down and raise a calf to be a major seller in this fast-paced business. The genetics and pedigrees that you will find on the next few pages are the result of carefully planned matings with all the right things in mind. Several generations of Vanhove, Hainy and Swanson cow families line the bottom sides of the females selling. More maternal sires are represented on these pages than in many of the other sale offerings that you will visit across the country. These outfits are striving to offer the best females and will offer their largest group ever presented in this sale. Over 2000 cows are managed and operated between the three outfits that make up what is THE DAKOTA CLASSIC. There’s a great deal of cow power behind the females that sell in this offering. Come early and visit the offering anytime at Vanhoves’ or Swansons’, and make plans to be with us on February 1st. 3 VANHOVE + HAINY + SWANSON ∆e 9E Annual Saturday, February 1, 2014 – 12:30 p.m. CST Sioux Falls Regional Livestock Center Sioux Falls, South Dakota Sioux Falls Regional Livestock is easily located at the junction of I-29 & Hwy. 18, 12 miles south of Sioux Falls right off I-29 Canton exit No. 62…or 9 miles west of Canton on Hwy. 18. ]e Partners of Ee Sale VANHOVE SHOW CATTLE Rob and Sheryl Vanhove 45041 227th St., Madison, SD 57042 (605) 482-8465; Rob (605) 480-0909 Sheryl (605) 480-4186 [email protected] HAINY FARMS Roger Hainy Cell (605) 350-1238 Nathan Hainy Cell (605) 350-7288 SWANSON CATTLE CO. There is a tremendous amount of club calf history at the root of these operations, and we are certainly proud to represent these farming and ranching families that have such a powerful reputation. This set of females will be, without question, one of the most impressive sets to sell at auction this season. There is a tremendous amount of maternal ability, in addition to power, in this big-time set of donor prospects and foundation building cows. The females that sell in this offering will earn many times their auction price down the road. They are the right kind and are backed by a great set of people. Rob has stated,“There is a tremendous amount of quality selling, and it’s hard to turn loose of our best every year.” A complete set of video previews will be available on the Dakota Classic sale page, at www.ccollinsinc.com.Videos should be posted by January 25th. BREEDING GUARANTEE All females are sold under the condition “safe in calf” as attested to by a licensed veterinarian and sell with no further guarantee. The ultrasound results reported are as accurate as possible but are not guaranteed. No guarantee is given that bred females will deliver a live calf. NOTE ABOUT PREGNANCY TESTING Careful consideration was given when selecting the cattle for the sale offering in reference to A.I. service. We feel that the majority of the cattle selling are safe to their A.I. date or the approximate due date that is given. Please make sure that you do not confuse A.I. service date with approximate due date. Some of the females that were only exposed to the pasture sires are given an approximate due date in correlation with the vet examination. While we cannot guarantee A.I. service, we feel that a large part of the offering is A.I. safe. Additional pregnancy testing will be available on the sale supplement sheet.
