The Government of Honduras through the Ministry of Energy, Natural Resources, Environment and Mines
(Mi Ambiente) led by the Minister, Mr. José Antonio Galdámes, and the Executive Committee of EXPO
ENERGIA 2016 under the direction of Mr. Héctor Turcios, will develop from June 7th to 11th, 2016 the VI
Edition of Expo Energía 2016 in the city of San Pedro Sula, with the aim to continue promoting the
appropriate framework to encourage the development of renewable resources and energy generation,
objectives promoted by the President of Honduras, Mr. Juan Orlando Hernández.
This event will seek to show the country of Honduras as an attractive window for foreign investment in
renewable resources, with the commitment on national development and care of the biodiversity.
Expo Energía is a bi-annual event inaugurated with its first edition in 2005 and developed to date, bringing
together those involved in the area of Renewable Energy to exchange experiences, methods, technologies,
equipment, supplies and services.
This Event will take place in the Expocentro Convention Center in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, where you will
be able to build and strengthen an extensive network of contacts and alliances that will enable new businesses
for all participants, positioning the country of Honduras as a pioneer in the development of Renewable Energy
and committed to the development and protection of the environment.
The event will feature an extensive program of activities, including:





Trade Fair Exhibition with 70 booths (internal and external areas), free access.
Conference Program with national and international experts.
Business Meetings between national and international companies.
Forum of Ministries of Energy of Mesoamerica.
Field Technical Visit
The participants in the event are from the energy sector: wind, solar, biomass, hydropower, photovoltaics,
biofuels, hydrocarbons, tidal energy and geothermal energy, who for three days will participate in the
tradeshow with representatives and experts in renewable resources from countries such as Italy, India, Spain,
Brazil, Colombia, United States, France, among others, who will present their companies with an array of
products, services and technology transfer, experiences and everything related to energy generation.
The Business Roundtable will allow meetings between national and international businessmen where they will
be able to learn and enter new markets that achieve new business transactions in services and/or goods for
the development of those companies involved achieving its objectives.

The Ministry of Energy, Natural Resources,
Environment and Mines (Mi Ambiente) unveiled
the activities to be developed within the
framework of the event, highlighting the presence
of the Ministers of Energy of Mesoamerica area
that will participate in the forum. "Expo Energia
places Honduras as a country with great potential
to invest, we will have the opportunity to develop
investment and hundreds of jobs in the country,"
said Mr. José Antonio Galdámes.
Mr. Hector Turcios, Executive Director of
Expo Energía 2016, gave details about the
event during his presentation, explained
that it is bi-annual event that has been
developed since 2005, with the aim to
bring together stakeholders in the area to
share methods, experiences, technology,
equipment, supplies and services, making
it the most important event of energy in
Central America.

Sula highlighted a clear view of the importance of renewable energy, care and above all the balance to
preserve the environment: "We are a green city and must have great thoughts and think positive, betting on
new projects and new environmentally friendly technologies" , said Mr. Armando Calidonio.
