Heroes of Newfoundland All-Star Gala: January 19
With Host Greg Malone running the show, the 2012 Newfoundland
Hero of the year will be crowned in an Oscar inspired, star-studded
black-tie affair at the GEO Centre in front of an estimated 210 guests
and media. There will be celebrity performances with each of the 10
nominated Heroes honored with a documentary tribute and introduced
by a celebrity presenter. The Hero of the Year will receive $10,000 and
other in-kind donations. Heroes will arrive at the event in style via
unique forms of transportation.
After receiving over 200 nominations from people throughout
Newfoundland and Labrador, we surprised the top ten with a dream
day around St. John’s on October 20. All heroes are now in a race to

Money raised will go towards making wishes come true for everyday
heroes in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Newfoundland All-Star Gala scheduled for January 19 at the GEO

Experience Genie Story: Man on a Mission:
Joshua Dawson's father passed away with Cancer at
the age of 54 and a genie was born. After some soul
searching, he decided to start doing something
everyone thought was a little crazy by dressing like a
blue genie and surprising Cancer victims and
survivors with their dream days. By shining a light
on their stories he hoped to inspire others to be
heroic. It worked…

just finished filming a reality TV show pilot that CBS has reviewed
