https://www.facebook.com/groups/170429729681484/ Refresh 2015 Debert Hospitality Center November 6 – 8 , 2015 Retreat Speaker Heather Bell Williams Born in a small town in rural Ontario, Heather swore up and down that she was “never going to marry a pastor or a farmer”. She has learned that God not only had a different plan, but also a sense of humour. Heather met her husband Garth through her work in the National Baptist Youth Team. He was studying to be a pastor, and to make a long story short, they were married in 1992, and have 2 teenage sons, Connor and Kenton. They have served and ministered in rural areas, most recently St. Stephen, NB., where they still live. In 2012, Garth left church-­‐based pastoral ministry to become an Associate Executive Minister for the CABC. Heather is a graduate of the NB Education Leadership Academy and has been a school leader through her roles as Vice Principal, District Coordinator and Principal of a local school in St. Stephen. As a result of her school-­‐based leadership in one of NB’s poorer communities, she has helped her staff work through the implications of teaching with poverty, food security, and a broken social network in mind. This has carried over into her “We’ve Got Your Back” ministry. Her favourite hobbies include scrap booking and playing piano, along with “We’ve Got Your Back”. Worship Leader Tammy Giffen Tammy resides in Milford, N.S with husband Peter and three children Taylor, Wesley, and Mya. I have been singing since I was a little girl and music has always been a part of my life. I love my family and coffee and I am passionate about helping the church BE the church God has called us to be. Tammy is currently serving as Pastor of Mission at Immanuel Baptist Church in Truro.
