The Nighthunter concept
Perfectly suited for all hunting situations, the newly developed illuminated
reticle with STEINER Smart Illumination.
The new series of STEINER rifle scopes rightly bears the name Nighthunter Xtreme, just like the
tried-and-tested STEINER hunting binoculars for when only the best will do.
Here too it is the top-level light transmission values that are at the core of the concept. The inno
vative Diamond-Night-Coating on the lenses offers optimal light yield over the entire visible
spectrum. The HD optics image is razor-sharp right up to the edge, with bright and natural colours.
This gives you a brilliant and clear image when sighting through the rifle scope, just as you would
experience when observing with your binoculars. This significantly expands your possibilities on the
hunt, especially in critical situations. Worldwide, in every season, under all lighting conditions.
Measurements prove it. Compared to leading competitors, the light transmission curve of the new
Nighthunter Xtreme rifle scopes offers clear advantages over the entire spectrum of the human visual

The continuously variable dimming of the illuminated red dot is high-tech:

In all situations the automatic illumination senses what is happening, saving
battery life and making sure the rifle is immediately ready to fire:
∙ Tilt sensor deactivates the illumination when rifle is upright or
placed on its side
∙ Immediate reactivation of the illuminated red dot as soon

∙ Memory function stores the last brightness setting
∙ When not in use the illumination automatically shuts off

You have spent hours in the stand and the pale light of the moon is just
barely illuminating the forest. With your binoculars you discover a group of
wild boar. You can just make them out at the bait. You take up the rifle, the
motion sensor automatically activates the fine illuminated red dot of the rifle
scope. You find your target and fire the round.

The optimal rifle scope for challenging driven hunts or for trailing wounded
quarry. The field of view of up to 36 m at a distance of 100 m and the
comfortable eye relief of 90 mm ensure quick acquisition of the game. Even
in glaring daylight or against reflection from snow surfaces the extremely
bright illuminated red dot of the reticle stays clearly visible and makes it
easier to get a clear aim. During the hunt, the integrated motion sensor
immediately switches on the activated illuminated red dot as soon as the rifle
is placed in a firing position. Even under the worst weather conditions
your vision is always clear. The nitrogen filling prevents fogging during
temperature fluctuations and the Nano-Protection® lens coating simply
repels drops of rain, snow or dirt.
The Nighthunter Xtreme 1-5×24 is also ideal for international big game
hunting with high-calibre rifles. With its ruggedness, stability and generous

intuitive operation in the Nighthunter Xtreme rifle scopes. Especially
good grip characteristics guarantee secure handling even with gloves.
All settings are also easily readable from the firing position.
The 5-Power Zoom factor always offers the right magnification and a
generous field of view. The magnification is readable from the firing
position.
Based on practical experience with hunters from all over the world,
STEINER has defined fundamental standards that are featured in all
Nighthunter rifle scopes:
Extreme ruggedness
By developing this completely new type of Diamond-Night-Coating
technology, STEINER has developed optics that are fully attuned to
hunting and which set new standards. The use and combination of rare
fluorides and mineral substances ensure unrivalled light transmission
across the entire light spectrum. The images are razor-sharp with the
highest level of contrast – right to the edge. Contours are always clearly
and distinctly visible and diffused light is reduced to a minimum. These
factors guarantee the best possible conditions for observation even in
the worst light conditions.

STEINER High-Definition-Optics
Optimally suited for regular, professional use. A highly specialised
coating provides first-class light transmission. The images are pin
sharp and of the highest contrast – right to the edge. Diffused light is
reduced to a minimum. Contours are always sharp and distinctly
visible, even in poor light or at the onset of dusk.
The reticle’s illuminated red dot on the 2nd focal plane is distinguished
by extreme brightness and remains clearly distinct even in very bright
surroundings. For the onset of dusk and during the night the illumination
can be finely dimmed. An innovative motion sensor deactivates the
illumination as soon as the rifle is set aside. As soon as it is again placed
in the firing position, the illuminated red dot is once again activated in the
last setting, thanks to the memory function. The auto-off after 3 hours of
inactivity ensures a long battery life.
The hydrophobic coating gives the lenses a dirt- and water-repellent
surface, thereby protecting against external effects and making cleaning
easier. Rain, snow and moisture disappear from the field of view.
Highly resistant materials and precise construction lend the
rifle scopes an especially high degree of stability, even when
used with high calibres.

armouring on the protruding operating elements ensure effective sound
absorption.

Special sealing techniques make this possible. No dust, no

Accessories
The Nighthunter Xtreme rifle scopes come complete with well thought-out
accessories. The spare battery for the reticle illumination is located in the lid
compartment. The tough neoprene case offers protection for the scope
optics, can be removed quickly and quietly and can be used as a base on
which to rest the rifle.
