A Note from the President Supportive and Empowering Groups “If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we aren’t really living.” — Gail Sheehy, author of Passages. Set Goals and Accomplish Them Together With Professional Coaches What does it mean to really live? In my life, it means being flexible and welcoming to change. If there’s a door, I pull it open and see what new adventure awaits me. Granted, I might feel goose bumps as I wonder about what’s coming, but we all know change is worth it. As author Gail Sheehy says, we cannot grow without change. With new experiences, we start really living. Getting It Together: Creating a Financially Organized Life As you know Women’s Exchange is all about learning, growing, and sharing. While we keep our core signature programs, we invite new programming that is enlivening our offerings. For example, Dr. Elizabeth Kelly of DePaul University recently hosted a Friday Salon on women who have changed the face of foreign policy as U.S. Secretaries of State: Madeleine Albright, Condoleezza Rice, and Hillary Clinton. Through the generosity of The Book Stall, we’ve been able to jointly host well-loved and respected authors like Anne Lamott and Eben Alexander. In March, you can take a Journey Back to Self with Joan Anderson. So we invite you to welcome change and experience growing at Women’s Exchange. That’s the path to real living. The three brothers inherited a tradition of womanizing and a belief that ordinary rules didn’t apply to Kennedy men, while at the same time seeking and serving in high political office in the U.S. We will look at the fascinating stories of how this affected the lives and legacies of the “Kennedy Wives” – Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Ethel Skakel Kennedy, and Joan Bennett. Friday: February 7, 4 to 5:30 pm. $20 Supercharged Change Strategies Change is not just a 3 step process; there are strategies, behaviors, beliefs, patterns, and risks that impact your ability to change.
