As we move away from the warm summer evenings
and into the autumn months we invite you to leave
your troubles at the door and enjoy a wonderful
evening at the theatre.
This season’s highlights feature the
most famous gothic horror story of
them all with Proteus presenting
Dracula. Angel Exit Theatre offers a
unique brand of intuitive physical
theatre and buffoonery with Moonfleet.
Take your pick of music with the
Little Walters Blues Club presenting
three great artists, The Stumble,
Matt Schofield and Lillian Boutte
with Denny Ilett.
A favourite with many are the Lunch
Time Concerts and these continue with
the fabulous duo Isabel Beyer and
Harvey Dagul.
Lots of our favourite theatre
companies are returning to present a
wonderful programme of children’s
theatre: these include shows from
Magic Carpet Theatre, Krazy Kat and
Barking Dog Theatre Company.
And finally let’s not forget our family
pantomime spectacular, Aladdin and
His Magic Lamp. This brand new
version of a pantomime classic will be
brought magically to life by a terrific
cast. Packed with all of the traditional
pantomime ingredients of comedy in
abundance, stunning sets, beautiful
costumes, plenty of boos and hisses
and an Aladdin’s cave full of
surprises…Aladdin will have the
Maltings Arts Theatre’s hallmark of
outstanding value for money and
entertainment to suit all ages.

A mischievous raccoon fools a family
of forest creatures into helping him
repay a debt of food and learns a
valuable lesson about family along
the way.
This six piece Chicago-style blues band

In the 50’s, in Louisiana, the
manipulative Willie Stark is elected
governor with the support of the
lower social classes. He joins a team
composed of his bodyguard and friend
Sugar Boy; the journalist from an
aristocratic family Jack Burden; the
lobbyist Tiny Duffy; and his mistress
Sadie Burke, to face the opposition
of the upper classes. Starring Sean
Penn, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and
Anthony Hopkins.

The popular and internationally

The story of an uptown rat that gets
flushed down the toilet from his
penthouse apartment, ending in the
sewers of London, where he has to
learn a whole new and different way of
life. DreamWorks Animation.
The most famous gothic horror of them
all is brought to the stage in a heady
mix of circus, physical performance,
aerial, film and music. Terrifying,
sensual, and exhilarating by turns this
new interpretation of Bram Stoker’s
classic tale is created by the artistic
team behind the widely acclaimed
‘The Elephant Man’.
Featuring a deaf/hearing cast of four
actors, plus puppets, music, song and
sign language, this fast moving
production uses Krazy Kat’s style of
emotive image theatre and child-centred
presentation. With fully integrated
British Sign Language, A Tempest
introduces children to the richness of
Shakespeare’s language and storytelling.

beauty. They force her to do all their

go to the ball!” Two actors use puppets,
audience participation, lots of action
and songs so that children of all ages
can join in with all the time-honoured

THE CURSE OF THE WERE RABBIT
The most tempting of all sweets becomes
the key weapon in a battle of sensual
pleasure against disciplined self-denial in
this comedy. A mysterious woman named
Vianne moves with her young daughter
into the small French village, where much
of the community’s activities are dominated
by the local Catholic church. A few days
after settling into town, Vianne opens up
a confectionery shop across the street
from the house of worship - shortly after
the beginning of Lent.
Frankie Dunn has trained some incredible
fighters during a lifetime spent in the ring.
The most important lesson he teaches his
boxers is always protect yourself. In the
wake of a painful estrangement from his
daughter, Frankie has been unwilling to let
himself get close to anyone for a very long
time. Then Maggie Fitzgerald walks into
his gym.

Tottington Hall’s annual Giant Vegetable
Competition is approaching. The winner
of the competition will win the Golden
Carrot Award. All are eager to protect
their vegetables from damage and
thievery by rabbits until the contest,
and Wallace and Gromit are cashing
in by running a vegetable security
and humane pest control business,
“Anti-Pesto”.
