LAYING FOUNDATIONS FOR A BROKEN WORLD
As I look over the faces of prison and the complexity of what brought
them here, my heart becomes heavy with emotion…These inmates are
looking for someone to bring some hope into their lives. We know that
Jesus Christ is the answer, but there are a lot of realities they face–a lot
of broken pieces. Many times there’s a breakdown in the home; Satan
has destroyed its structure. Some have lost their partners, along with
their children. Some have said goodbye from their jail cells to their most
beloved friend, a mother, a dad, or a grandparent, while they were away doing time. They
are desperately looking to find hope to face another day.
Maybe today it will come through a letter. Maybe one of their children will take the time to
look them up. Maybe a brother, a sister, an uncle, an aunt, just somebody…please somebody…
bring some hope. Maybe it will come through a service at the chapel. Maybe the chaplain will
take the time to sit down and pray with them. Maybe one of our graders will bring some hope
while responding to some of his or her questions in the Bible Study. Maybe someone will bring
a bag of cookies at Christmas time with a prayer note inside, just for them. Maybe today they
will open the Word of God and find real peace in their life. The words will jump off the page
like neon, and the Holy Spirit will minister to their needs, and they will ask Christ into their life,
and for the first time feel the warmth and love that only Christ can give. We pray that this will
happen. We know the stark reality is that, when they leave here, more than likely they will have
no friends, no home, no church, no job, and nowhere to turn–unless someone reaches out.
As you look at these faces of prison we ask you to pray with us for these men and women.
Pray that we would be able to reach them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, bringing lasting
hope into their lives.

BIBLE STUDY COURSES
I am an inmate prisoner trying to get right with God. I’m tired of my sinful ways.
It’s time for a change, and the only way is to read the true Word of God in hope
of it speaking to my heart as it is already doing. I asked my prison counselor if he
could print a copy of churches and places that do Bible study
correspondence courses so that I can find my way
back to God through them the right way, and one
of y’alls address was the first I was interested in.
It says that y’all have an eight series Bible study
correspondence that I could do. I would like to start
it as soon as possible if it it’s ok with y’all. I’m going
to be in a while, so I thought what better chance to get
right and talk to the Lord my Savior.

The Freedom Rally is an in-prison revival where Gospel Echoes
teams minister the Gospel through Gospel music, preaching,
multimedia presentations, volunteers sharing one-on-one, prayer
times, and in some of the Rallies, a picnic cookout is included.

the gospel into London Correctional. I am an
inmate and saw some men were responsive
to the gift of cookies. While we cannot buy

get the spiritual foot in the door. Well done.
I personally have been born again for many
years and know firsthand the importance of

I’m a 36 year old woman who is staying in the California
Institution for Women, and I’ve been locked up four
years but here where I am now for only 1 year 8
months. I am in need for something in my life,
and I don’t have a clue as to where to go. I feel
lost, and I don’t have anyone in front or behind
me, and I seem to always be falling and getting
up but always alone and for a long time. I keep
being told to ask the Lord for the love of the Lord.

hello,
Thank you so much! And I pray that God shine his blessings upon you all.
I’m incarcerated in Jail in Florida. I’m a 41 year old man who, by God’s grace and
the Gospel Echoes Team Address Book, has finally stepped into the Father’s arms and love.
May I explain and share my short story, along with my love and everlasting gratitude
to your organization? After 41 years of selfish behavior and never giving a second thought
to the next person or anything other than myself, I found myself in solitary confinement
following a physical altercation with another man. As I sat there hating life and everything
in it I reach for my address book intending to write my mom and let her know what my
latest self-destructive behavior has resulted in. And for the first time since receiving my
address book I take the time, of which I seem to all of a sudden have a lot of, to read
the first few pages. I read the pages and verses over and over through tears. So empty
and lonely inside for so long is exactly what I am. Isaiah 55:6-7 wicked and unrighteous
explains me in just two words. oh, but I felt a longing deep inside me for so long for
“something”. I have spent most of my life trying to fill that need of something with any
and every evil thing I have ever come in contact with. never once even considering that
God loved me and wanted me. Why would he? nobody else does! God has all those people
that go to church that he can love. I John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he will forgive
us. That can’t mean me because I have so many sins I can’t even remember them all. But
I am so tired of hurting. I prayed the prayer of forgiveness asking, no begging God to
please save me. I feel such a peace in my heart and soul. Thank you Jesus for dying for
me. Thank you God for not giving up on me. And thank you for the Gospel echoes Team
for without what you have put in my hand and in front of my eyes I might not have taken
those few precious moments to read those first
two pages of my Address Book.
I want more/Gods Word is what I feel I
need. I don’t have a Bible right now but have
requested one from the chaplain. I would love
to have your Bible Study Correspondence
Course please.
