Automatic Roll Filters are designed for use in primary roll filter machines. These machines are self renewing, offering a
new and clean section of air filter media either manually or automatically. Automatic Roll Filters are available for all
machine types including:

Automatic Roll Filters have been selected for use by industrial facilities, commercial buildings, government installations,
schools and universities, and many other owners of automatic roll equipment. The Airguard replacement roll fits all
existing requirements without modification, and filtration performance is guaranteed to equal or surpass original
equipment.
Fiberglass and Synthetic media for every application
Fiberglass Media
For years, the most popular of all air filter media, literally miles and
miles of fiberglass strands reinforced with a thermosetting bonding
agent, form this highly resilient blanket.
Type CF --- Where the customer preference for economy is
paramount, CF media is made with lighter weight fiber content.
Type YTS --- YTS delivers more for the dollar spent in media. This
media outperforms virtually all competitive roll filter media. It is
recommended also where velocities are at 500 FPM, and normal dirt
conditions are present.
Type SHP --- A specialty fiberglass media, this highly dense air filter
blanket will perform under the most severe conditions. It is
recommended where velocities are extreme and dirt loads are either
very heavy or unpredictable.

Synthetic Media
For those customers preferring a synthetic air filter media, Airguard
offers four styles. Constructed from high loft bulk fibers of post
consumer recycled polyester fibers, synthetic media has increased
steadily in popularity, particularly in the food, pharmaceutical, and
electronic components industries.
Type DSF (1/2") --- The most widely used synthetic auto roll media,
the purchase price is approximately equal to comparable glass rolls.
Recommended where air velocities are 500 FPM and
dirt loads are normal.
Type DMC (1") --- A specially designed, heavy weight polyester
synthetic media, Type DMC is especially well suited for industrial
applications, or other installations where airborne dirt is
heavy. A fully lofted media, furnished with a scrim net backing make
this an appropriate choice for more extreme conditions.
Type DL-I (1") --- This unique media is recommended where dirt
loads are heavy and velocities are above normal. Type DL-1 delivers
high dirt arrestance values.
Type DL-II (2") --- This thick resilient blanket has the performance
characteristics of high quality fiberglass with the advantages of a
synthetic media. High dust holding and high arrestance characterize
this media.
Core Identification Guide
Automatic Roll Filters
Shown here are photos and brief descriptions of end views of various cores used on automatic roll filter machines.
Airguard manufactures roll filter replacements for all machines, and this guide is offered for assistance in identifying the
proper core when system identification is not possible through other means. All cores furnished are identical with those
supplied by original equipment manufacturers.
* Model No. indicates roll size and type. Media style is then designated with an additional suffix.
Type AE Core (to fit American Air
Filter Roll-O-Matic). Core is 3/8" I.D.
(1-1/8" O.D.) welded steel tube and
metal discs. End plates of approximately
11" diameter are attached.
Type CR Core (to fit Carrier
Corporation Series 31NA Roll Filter).
Core is formed from a 2-7/16"
fiberboard tube. The tube contains a
metal cup secured in each end and
recessed to a depth of 1-1/2". The cup is
stamped to form a 1-1/2" square
opening.

Type B Core (to fit BLC Industries
Automatic Roll Machine). Core is
constructed from 1-1/2" diameter. EMT
conduit, with 11" diameter end plates
recessed in approximately 1-3/8" from end
of core.
Type CB Core (to fit Cambridge Auto roll).
Core is 3/4" welded steel tube. No metal
discs are used. (If desired, please specify).
Type AM Core (to fit Airmaze Roll-AMaze). Core is formed from fiberboard tube
with 1-7/8" I.D. Tube has recessed cups
secured in each end with a depth of 5/8".
Cup is stamped to form a 1-1/2" x 3/4"
rectangular slot.
Type F Core (to fit Farr Co. Roll Kleen
Filters). Core is formed from 2-1/8" I.D.
fiberboard tube using no drive pins, cups or
discs.
Type C Core (to fit Continental
Conomanual or Conomatic). Core is
formed from 3-1/6" I.D. PVC tube. A drive
pin is located 2-1/4" from one end of the
tube only. No cups or discs are used
Type T Core (to fit Trane Company Roll
Filter). Core is formed from 2-7/16" I.D.
fiberboard tube. The tube contains a metal
cup secured in each end recessed to a depth
of 1-1/2" square.
