L&G Events has produced music events since 2005 with a
mission to promote, and encourage women in jazz. Artistic
Director, Sweet Baby J ai is a critically acclaimed, multiaward winning vocalist, composer, arranger and producer.
She brings over 25 years of experience and focus to the
Festival.
Celebrated for its creative and artistic programming, the Palm
Springs Women s Jazz Festival has become a favorite
Columbus Day Weekend destination. Our mission is to
promote awareness and appreciation for female musicians
who play all forms of jazz and blues, and to provide
educational and promotional activities by showcasing local
talent alongside national and international artists. To
encourage, foster and cultivate appreciation, understanding of
jazz in all of its forms through quality, live musical
performances, workshops, and films.
The Festival fosters cultural and racial understanding,
community building, and appreciation of the female
experience in jazz and blues in America by increasing and
presenting knowledge about the contribution women have
made to our musical history.

Word is spreading very quickly!
We are growing in size and reputation. Our first festival launched in 2013, and
each year attendance more than doubles to the Palm Springs Women s Jazz
Festival. In 2015, The Desert Sun named the Palm Springs Women s Jazz
Festival the third best music festival in the Coachella Valley behind two of the
largest festivals in the nation, Coachella and Stagecoach. The PSWJF has grown
into an internationally known festival – word has traveled around the globe that
this festival has moved to the top of the must-visit list for music revelers!
